tvN’s When the Stars Gossip (previously Ask the Stars) is finally making its descent back to earth, bringing Lee Min-ho (Pachinko), Gong Hyo-jin (When the Camellia Blooms), Oh Jung-se (Mr. Plankton), and Han Ji-eun (Stock Struck) from the space station to our screens. Launching off the new year with a January 4 premiere, the sci-fi rom-com will be airing on weekends and will be releasing internationally on Netflix. [Sports Donga]

Also returning from a galaxy far, far away, Lee Jung-jae has been taking a… relaxing breather to play a round in Squid Games 2 and is now in talks – along with Im Ji-yeon (The Killing Vote) – for a new rom-com called Petty Love (roughly translated). Park Yong-woo (Tracer) has reportedly been cast in Eun-soo’s Good Day, becoming an antagonist to Lee Young-ae (Maestra – Strings of Truth) and Kim Young-kwang (Evilive). Expected to broadcast in 2025, the 12-episode crime-thriller is helmed by PD Song Hyun-wook (Serendipity’s Embrace, The King’s Affection) with scripts penned by Jeon Young-shin (The Lies Within). Lee Young-ae, Park Yong-woo, Kim Young-kwang

School is back in session for Bitch X Rich in 2025 as well, with Lee Eun-saem (Cheer Up), Red Velvet’s Yeri, and Lee Jong-hyuk (Cheer Up) reprising the lead roles for another semester in Season 2. Good to finally have a date for When stars gossip, I am hopeful this will be an interesting watch.
The two sageuks are potentials but not confident they won’t veer off into the usual, wispy beard politics 🥱
If Petty love has the bickering from the early stages of Wedding Impossible and most of No Gain No Love that will be a fun watch.

Hoping Oh Jung-se will get his own romantic pairing in When the Stars Gossip. Really like that guy. And he looks great in that poster.

Also, does anyone else think Han Ji-eun's photo looks like it's from a different drama? The first three have the same vibe, then there's hers, which looks dark and moody.

Also, who wants to bet that Lee Jun-jae's character, who will be in his 50s if he's the same age as the actor, won't tell the female lead (who's in her 30s, or at least the actress is) that she should go find someone younger she can have a family with! Sorry, I'm gonna forever be salty.
