Winner takes all in the Gangnam B-Side race

Dropping us into the gritty Gangnam B-Side hidden beneath the slick streets of Seoul, Disney+ has us on the time crunching race to find BIBI (The Worst of Evil) in the latest teaser, with chasers Jo Woo-jin (Narco-Saints), Ji Chang-wook (Queen Woo), and Ha Yoon-kyung (The Frog) going neck to neck.

It’s a tricky situation with a deadline of 15 days and the missing Kim Jae-hee (BIBI) being the key to the high-stakes case at hand. As such, the police make special exceptions to have tenacious detective Kang Dong-woo (Jo Woo-jin) leading investigations – even canceling his demotion to reinstate him in Gangnam’s unit.

But prosecution is invested in the messy situation as well and ambitious prosecutor Min Seo-jin (Ha Yoon-kyung) is instructed to take charge. Adding to the pressure, she needs to get there first in order to ensure that prosecution handles the clean-up and prevent the police from getting involved.

While I don’t doubt that Seo-jin is a tough, we see that Dong-woo is quite the force to be reckoned with when he’s on a case and he soon gets a lead on a potential suspect behind Jae-hee’s disappearance: mysterious broker Yoon Gil-ho (Ji Chang-wook). But Gil-ho claims to not understand why everyone is suddenly looking for Jae-hee and resolves to put an end to it himself.

As the action ramps up in the final sequence, the teaser then ends on Gil-ho’s cryptic explanation to Dong-woo that, “They have to disappear, both Jae-hee and the thing that Jae-hee has with her.”

Directed by filmmaker Park Nuri (Money) with scripts penned by Joo Won-kyu (Argon), Disney+’s Gangnam B-Side will begin streaming on November 6.

Sometimes I think in music so my brain translated the headline to "ABBA Gangnam Style".

Ji Chang Wook... I haven't been able to peacefully watch/finish the dramas he has done recently. He's choices are... Not my style. And if we add Disney to the mix... yeah, not helping. There's at least 5 Disney dramas that look exactly like this. They're obsessed with this vibe.
