Cha Eun-woo, Park Eun-bin

  • Cha Eun-woo (Wonderful World) is reviewing roles for his next project and is considering a superhero team-up with Park Eun-bin (Castaway Diva) in The Wonder Fools (working title, previously The B Team). Aiming to start filming once casting is finalized later this year, production has the Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim duo reuniting with writer Kang Eun-kyung (Gyeongseong Creature) in a creator role and PD Yoo In-shik (Extraordinary Attorney Woo) directing – scripts are being penned by Heo Da-joong (Extreme Job). [Star News, YTN]

  • A Taecyeon (Heartbeat) and Seohyun (Song of the Bandits) pairing may be in the works with both actors reviewing offers for the webnovel and webtoon adaptation, The First Night with the Duke. The fantasy romance creates a world inside a Joseon-era novel where our female lead swaps places with a supporting character and ends up spending the night with the male lead unexpectedly. [Xports News]
  • Checking in on Love Andante, Kwon Hyun-bin (Pandora: Beneath the Paradise) and Song Ji-woo (Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale) are showcased in the latest poster, crossing over the 38th parallel to meet as our rom-com’s star-crossed pair. Marking the debut drama by the Lifetime channel in South Korea, the series will be streaming locally on TVING and internationally on Kocowa in select regions. [Sports Kyunghyang]

  • Kim Woo-seok (Night Has Come) and Kang Na-eon (Pyramid Game) have been cast in the new youth rom-com Class Zero Is Insider Time (roughly translated). In what sounds like a Gossip Girl or Bridgerton-esque mash up, the story gives our outsider lead an entrance into the popular insider group after becoming the school’s community app manager and diving into the treasure trove of student secrets. [News1 (1), (2)]
  • Casting news continues for KBS’s Iron Family as well, preparing for the weekender’s premiere in September. To start, we have a cute noona-marriage between Kim Young-ok (The Pork Cutlets) and Park In-hwan (One Day Off) as grandparents to Geum Sae-rok (Soundtrack #2) – in addition to Geum’s mom Park Ji-young (The Matchmakers). The supporting cast is also stacked with Shin Hyun-joon (Moorim School) and Kim Hye-eun (Not Others) playing Kim Jung-hyun’s (Kokdu: Season of Deity) parents. [Newsen (1), (2)]
  • tvN released new stills for their upcoming rom-com No Gain No Loss, this time with a short and long maned Kim Young-dae (Moon in the Day) taking center stage. Come August 26, we’ll be ushered into his and Shin Mina’s (Our Blues) contract matrimony, with production led by PD Kim Jung-shik (Work Later, Drink Now) and writer Kim Hye-young (Her Private Life). I really don't know what to think about the Cha Eun Woo/Park Eun Bin pairing. Maybe casting directors are seeing something I don't; they definitely see something I don't about Eun Woo's acting (though apparently he *did* do a good job in Wonderful World)

I watched bits and pieces of WW. He looked beefed up and pretty (a given). His far off shots were nice. His close up shots were confusing if you didn't have context. Of course, I didn't watch all of Wonderful World and I have no intention to touch it with a barge pole, if you can kindly excuse my hyperbole.

But with someone like...Park Eun Bin? Unless they are planning to pair her with a fancy mannequin I can't figure out why....

She was wonderful in Cast Away Diva though the script sucked. The PD is the EAW one, so I am hoping he knows what he is doing.

That was my exact thought: Park Eun-bin is going to act circles around him.

I've only seen him twice, he was delightful in Rookie historian, where tbf he mostly had to play winsome and innocent to the female lead's wonderful go-getter character, and imo did a pretty good job in Wonderful world. I wouldn't watch a drama just for him, but a non-cliche role opposite a female lead I love does mean I'll probably enjoy him and his face.

I think Cha Eun Woo is much fitted in dramas with action genre instead of romance. I know he's so stiff and very dull mostly in every romance drama that he's in, because of the type of character he's playing, damn I know project is a project, but can he please elevate himself into a genre that suits him more as an actor. I'm close to this conclusion, that the shippers are just carrying him, because you know how delusional those shippers, like they're literally pushing their favorite female artist to Cha Eun Woo, they're are even fighting, comparing every women he's been paired with. I hate those, it's like their faves only achievement is when she's paired with Cha Eun Woo, 'cause that's what their shippers are actually pointing out most of the time.

So, if I were him, I would choose projects with action genre, 'cause you know, he doesn't need to be in a forced fan service on that, in order to serve the shippers delusion.

Honestly, he deserves every bit of his fan following as the K-pop idol. he is wonderfully talented and is fire on stage. But as I have always maintained, I wish people like him and Yoona could leave acting to the actors, so that a lot of wonderful actors could get the chance to showcase their talents in high stake projects, like Kang Tae Oh did in EAW.

BTS's V has the potential to become a fabulous actor, but even he has limited his acting skills to his music videos.

Yup he has a lot of fans, and I think they keep on accepting those boring roles for him, because his fans loves to ship him with the actresses he's been paired with, that's why they're riding on that hype, and demand. You know, his fans don't care about his acting skills, as they always been saying that no matter how dull and bad actor he is, they're still going to watch his dramas because of his face. For the idol background, I feel bad for his teammates, but I know he loves them (their group), yet they're not active as a group anymore, he's the only one who has fan concert/meeting. But I hope his fans hype his dramas in action genre too, or any genres that doesn't include romance, you need to make him get out of his comfort zone (but I think romance is not his comfort zone tho), just don't box him in that genre, support him where he can explore and enhance his acting skills.

2

The bar for abilities for attractive men in entertainment is pretty low in any country tbf, and Eun Woo is both very attractive and also has an idol background, so I'm not surprised that a) he has lots of fans and b) casting directors make note of that popularity as well.

I would never touch True beauty or the Gangnam beauty drama because not only is that kind of kdrama male role absolute anathema to me and I avoid dramas like that like the plague, it also means actors who take those roles are basically well-attired window dressing as far as their unlikable characters are concerned. Lol, I even managed to find Namgoong Min annoying in a drama like that (undateables, do not watch), and he's the pinnacle of kdrama male actor to me!

I think romance with comedy/action might be fine for Eunwoo since I did think he did his part in Rookie Historian well, but the drama itself was a very strong one and had a lot more going for it too. He just needs to stay away from cold chaebol nonsense and keep trying more interesting things like Wonderful world, and he can start to maybe genuinely call himself a proper actor. Eun Bin would act circles around most of her peers tbh, so it's just a matter of doing well enought to not let her down.

I wonder if it's his management that's signing him for all these cheesy romance roles he's clearly not enjoying much for quick bucks/buzz while he's peak young and hot. Is he still under his original idol agency?

Required fields are marked *

Possibly. After the shock his band suffered last year, I am not surprised. But I wish they chose projects that didn't pit him with actors who would make his lack of acting talent stand out like a sore thumb. In the hindsight, he was a great fit for Rookie Historian because his costar was also a wet noodle and they fit each other perfectly.

1

His most recent project was Wonderful World, which was very much an exercise in dealing with his own grief over losing his best friend/bandmate.

Generally speaking, yes, I'm sure his agency (which is his original idol one) prefers when he does the romcoms they knows are gonna be worldwide hits. But there's nothing to indicate he's "clearly not enjoying much" aside from you not liking him in them. He always speaks highly of his characters, costars, and the underlying message of girls loving themselves regardless of what others say about their looks.

3

@minniegupta1 they're training him the most Spartan way then - he'll either drown around his far stronger costars or maybe learn something from them... Time will tell.

@kangminjae promoting his works properly is the first thing idols are taught, so sorry, but him "always speaking high of his costars and dramas in promo interviews" doesn't mean ANYTHING. Celebs who couldn't even do this much on cue even in their sleep don't last in the industry long. And I've personally seen him in enough romance and non-romance projects to form an opinion that he enjoys acting in the latter significantly more. Not to say that he hates his romcoms costars or anything - this is kind of misogynistic delusion I'd leave to rabid teen stan twitter crowd, they're good at it - but the difference between passionate and default acting seems pretty obvious to me.

Let's make a bet, shall we? Once he fulfills his contract with his current management and is free to do whatever HE wants finally, we'll see what kind of roles he's gonna take then - if he still will be acting, ofc. Then we'll talk about my faulty analytical skills again^^

6

The Eun Bin and Eun Woo drama will, if nothing else, have some of the cutest lead couple visuals, lol. I thought Eun Woo did a pretty good job in Wonderful World and I've had a soft spot for him since Rookie Historian, and I find Eun Bin adorable and stunning in everything she does, so I'm excited and anticipatory. I know people had varying opinions on Castaway Diva, but I thought Eun Bin was luminous and carried it all the way through for me, even with an annoying sml/triangle dynamic (which is often a reason I give up on shows if it's obnoxious enough). So unless the writing is horrendous, I'll definitely be giving this new one a chance.

I don't have a high opinion of Kim Young Dae in the couple of things I've seen him in, and am neutral to vaguely positive on Shin Mina so I was assuming I wouldn't be interested, but the newest trailer for their show was kind of cute. I guess it depends on how well they lean into the fun bits.

I am not sure about Tac & Seohyun in the new drama The 1st Night with the Duke, a fantasy romance in the Joseon era sounds maybe not too original? By fantasy, I wonder if they mean time travel and that may or may not work depending on how the plot is written.

As for the new Cha Eunwoo & Park Eunbin's drama, that looks interesting. In Island and Wonderful World, Eunwoo did a good job against veteran actor and actress Namgil and Namjoo. Audiences & critics said a lot of positive things about Eunwoo's acting and he portrayed both characters really well especially in WW where did his own stunts too. So many people were impressed and liked the dynamic between his characters and Namjoo/Namgil's characters. For Eunbin's latest drama Castaway Diva, it seemed ok, the plot didn't seem the strongest.
FF to this new match up, is sounds interesting bc it looks like the 2 might have problems controlling their powers and they are probably learning about it and perhaps hiding it from the world? Anyways, super power characters seem fun.

Class Zero is Insider Time looks like another high school drama with themes of popular kids vs unpopular kids, bullying and fitting in? So, this might work if the script is good. An outsider trying to fit in but knows a bunch of secrets..could be interesting.

First Night with the Duke is originally an otomeisekai story, where it's a modern Korean girl who gets transported into her favorite romance story. In the manhwa the world is a pseudo-European historical setting (as they often are in this genre), so it's quite a change to make it Joseon. I'm not quite sure how the story will translate given cultural differences that are crucial to plot developments. Additionally, the comic itself is considered problematic by a lot of people due to the male lead's behavior...

I've read it and I have zero freaking idea how they could make in work with Joseon setting. I mean, it starts, as title suggests, with leads getting drunk as skunks at the party and having wild one night stand, and next morning ML is all "well, my dear vixen, pls take a responsibility for ruined me then" while FL says NOPE and runs for the hills. ML being borderline psychotic yandere in his romantic pursuit is nothing compared to the scandalous nature of premise.

Wow, I've always skipped over this webtoon cause it just didn't interest me but now it *really* doesn't interest me haha

But that type of personality doesn't seem out of place in dramas? Like I'm fairly certain the obsessed male lead is a thing.

Or maybe I'm confused about what a yandere is; I'm imagining the main guy from Boys over Flowers (oh how I dislike BOF)

Required fields are marked *

Webtoon in particular also has an interesting art style which is best described as "old school childish and colorful" - ML, in particular, heavily reminds me of that little pest Malfoy from HP franchise... in his mid-teens version.

Yeah, he's nothing special, really - neither positively nor negatively. Idk what made people to have allegedly STRONG opinions on guy - something tells me they're new to this type of media people who are about to get the shock of their lives once they try something from good old unhinged days^^

BOF ML was more like an extra bad case of raging tsundere - aka "tough/cold/rude on the outside yet soft and loving inside". Yandere means a character unhealthily obsessed with their love interest - like HEAVILY. The "I'll kill everyone, maybe even YOU and then myself so we can be together" kind of spectrum. Dumped Duke gets a mostly honorary label there for being a stubborn stalker with a preference for "marry me or else" threats.

2

@gikata oh my god! A yandere sounds horrifying. I have actually seen/read some manhwas like that but I don't typically get far in them. At most I might skim or skip around haha.

Haha teenage Draco haha

Sometimes when I read webtoons, I wonder if it would make a good adaptation. For example, there was a webtoon called No Outtakes about a fan & an actor getting sucked into the world of a drama. That featured getting sucked into a Joseon world.

2

@britney yandere stuff is an acquired taste - even seen-it-all me is very so-so on this archetype.

Interestingly, kdramas are yet to properly catch up to this everywhere in novels and webtoons isekai into fictional world trend, idk why. Even cdramas with all their censorship restrictions are far ahead in that regard. Why do I have a feeling that this project won't do much to popularize the genre either?

Most of the titles I read is 200% unadaptable - either because of setting, premise, length, adult rating etc. APOTHECARY DIARIES would've make an amazing cdrama if not for episodes cap, harem genre banned and certain fake identity issue (tho I'm already cringing imagining fanwars over casting of "gorgeous like a goddess" ML).

3

Yeah, I was trying not to spoil but EXACTLY. This story isn't going to work at all in the Joseon setting. I don't think it makes sense to adapt these stories with the pseudo European setting and make them Korean historicals, it just doesn't work...

2
14
reply

Required fields are marked *

Perhaps some milder ones CAN work - it's not like Korean writers are all that historically accurate when it comes to European monarchies lol, even famous hits are often downright egregious - but surely this is not that case.

3

@gikata Serious question: does the Korean TV industry have the wherewithal and experience to produce a live-action series with a faux 18th/19th century European fantasy setting, like the webtoon's? Has it ever tried something similar?

Conflating historical European and Joseon cultures and social, legal, and economic systems just does not work in ways Korean drama writers seem profoundly to not understand. Corsets and wing collars aren't just an interchangeable form of historical drag.

3

@elinor Especially because a lot of these pseudo-European worlds have their own countries, governments, laws, and political dynamics that factor heavily into the story. Remarried Empress is an example (it got announced for a Kdrama adaptation a while back). Even setting it in the real world at all is gonna be tricky, let alone a real country with an entirely different cultural background.

4

@elinor I've never heard about anything like that, I'm afraid. The closest k-media ever got to European setting is their musicals, which are often remakes of already famous western productions done in collaboration with original makers. Meaning costumes etc get "inherited" by k-versions since the start, they don't have to do their own deep research for that. Ngl, seeing Koreans in rococo dresses and wigs is quite the sight)))

@vienibenmio REMARRIED EMPRESS is as purely European as I am laconic^^ Seriously - swap characters eye/hair colors and dress them in hanboks and plot won't even notice the difference. Not sure if this production actually ever succeed - I can predicts a lot of hurdles, starting from premise and ending with casting fans will NEVER be pleased with no matter whom producers hire - but this is certainly gonna be a wild trainwreck)))

3

@vienibenmio @gikata @elinor I haven't read, or at least I don't remember, reading many webtoons or manhwas that had the pseudo European settings but why can't a setting swap work in your opinion? I think the main aspect of those stories are usually the class divides and etiquette. Or am I wrong cause as I said, I don't typically read those kinds of stories.
I mean I get that it's different but I also get the similarities

I don't know what the Korean equivalent to knights are and that is the only thing that's coming to mind that would be hard to adapt.

1

@vienibenmio the remarried empress is supposed to be a kdrama?! Huh

I would think that is a bit scandalous for korean audiences then again maybe it's not. Folks who watch sageuks have seen many a monarch have his concubines. The new take would be the woman instantly getting a new man haha

Wow, as soon as I wrote that line, I remembered how big of a deal is made of people "moving on too quickly"

1

@britney because Joseon was too weird and specific in just about everything for other culture's daily and palace life mix well with it. Not just class system and etiquette - law, philosophy, people's mindset... EVERYTHING. Luckily for any potential drama adaptation producer, as I've said above, most k-writers doesn't know a thing about real Europe and thus write faux-Joseon stories simply dressed as faux-European. So I don't think it's THAT hard to adapt many of them as long as makers go about it the smart way... but when did they?)))

Bringing in a concubine was like the least of FL's ex sins in REMARRIED EMPRESS - that alone viewers could've probably if not forgive but at least understand given the comatose status of their marriage atm and him desperately needing a heir, but everything he's done - and allowed to be done by others - afterwards was simply not it. Been a while since I've seen a walking definition of idiot ball trope of this monstrous caliber, same goes for a concubine. Honestly, I was bored to tears with how primitively black-and-white written that story is - even kindergarten-aged me would've probably find it insulting to my intelligence...

3

@britney Yup, Remarried Empress was announced for a drama adaptation a while back and I remember reading it was going to be changed to a Joseon setting.

@gikata It's not so much the cultural thing for Remarried Empress as the political dynamics between the eastern and western kingdoms - you either need it to be a alternate history version of a real country or make up an entire new country entirely. Not to mention the magic stuff...

I agree with you about the comic being ridiculously black and white and boring. I dropped it a long time ago.

1

@vienibenmio you think they won't cut magic stuff? I'm struggling to imagine it working in a show tbh - even THE LEGEND OF SHEN LI with FL's temporarily chicken phoenix form was quite pushing it, despite VERY nice (likely expensive af) CGI and ML's actor utmost efforts to sell "nothing weird here, just me and my shapeshifting babe" trope. When was the last time kdrama even tried to go there? DOG DAY show probably, and even that had a mostly real puppy who was 100% easier to train than what would be required in this case.

3

@gikata Don't know about everything else, but the CGI in Legend of Shen Li was clunky, not expensive. Certainly not expensive in China where they have animation factories. With a proper budget could do much better. (That's not just me, its a semi-professional opinion from my husband)

0

I can't imagine it as a kdrama at all, or any other type of adaptation, tbh. If they really thought they had to it, then animation would be the best option, imo.
I seriously can't imagine someone reading this and thinking Taek and Seo would be perfect for it.

2

@gikata

because Joseon was too weird and specific in just about everything for other culture's daily and palace life mix well with it. Not just class system and etiquette - law, philosophy, people's mindset... EVERYTHING.

Modern audiences and media often project contemporary values and romanticized notions onto historical settings, leading to discrepancies between historical reality and fictional portrayals. I think the current audience has projected much of their reflection on how the Joseon people lived, which has dictated how dramas are written. If you deep dive, there are a of discrepancies that show up. The hierarchical control meant unsavoury stories remained buried. A Joseon Scholar/Prince/Soldier/Captain having a wild night of sex was not as much of an aberration as people would want one to believe, just as affairs, corruption, and debauchery existed but were often kept out of official records unless they were committed by people in power and upset the equilibrium of those that were even higher than them. The annals seem highly selective of what was reported vs what was not. For example, the number of reported rape cases in 600 years of Joseon history is pitiful, it is understood that in any society where women hold little power, cases of abuse are often rampant, with the culprits frequently being close relatives.

One reason I liked My Dearest was that it traversed paths not trodden by many. For example, they showed Jang Hyeon's character corrupting young women of the villages he visited, though they shopped short of revealing his rakish acts - the drama probably would have been shut down if they actually showed what a rake actually does - and it's not holding hands sitting in a garden under a tree singing love songs 😂.

Whether such a drama will be widely accepted by the audience remains to be seen.

0

@mazarin that's interesting to hear, because I've seen quite a few examples of TRULY BAD CGI in cdramas ("fond" memories of LOVE 020 still give me shivers), and in comparison that chicken/phoenix was rather cute, even with those horrible fake eyelashes. I do doubt that even something like that would work in a story with no other fantasy elements whatsoever unlike in gods vs demons vs monsters high fantasy xianxia though. I recall animation bits in YUMI'S CELLS didn't exactly leave people very awed, for example...

@minniegupta1

A Joseon Scholar/Prince/Soldier/Captain having a wild night of sex was not as much of an aberration as people would want one to believe

But it would be hardly believable for a noble Joseon maiden, right? Yangban dude could've sleep with a gisaeng, commoner, his own slave girl etc and no one would've bat an eye, but him and yangban girl ending up in a bed together AND her refusing his passionate marriage proposal the morning after sounds absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention that Joseon didn't exactly held co-ed banquets for their youngsters to party nights away unsupervised so the situation this premise is built around could even happen in the first place.

4

@gikata Bad CGI abounds...but a lot of it was done in the past as well. Shen Li was a recent production, so its crappy CGI. If it was something filmed 10 years ago it would be (relatively) a lot better. Even then though, if you were willing to spend a lot of money and time you could end up with something that integrated a lot more seamlessly. Go look at 1994 The Shadow for some clever animation that flows nicely into the film.

0

@gikata Apothecary diaries would make a terrific Silla dynasty drama. I always felt it was tilted towards that era even though the entire thing is a mishmash of Joseon/Japanese/Chinese backdrop.

Not sure about Silla dynasty in particular, because didn't they ONLY marry within their own royal family? That would make imperial harem far less in numbers etc, while conflicts between many royal in-laws were a big thing in the AD (even bigger in the novel).

1

Yes - that True bone nonsense. But maybe they could turn her into some kind of adopted but thrown away true bone something. 😂

1

I don't even mean FL - let's start with ML's hugely spoilery heritage which would never be a source of constant threat and problems in Silla just because of who his bio-mom is (low-born initially super low rank concubine). Or those THOUSANDS of women in Emperor's harem...

P.S. I kind of dropped the novel for variety of reasons, including it going on for WAY too long without much of plot progression I'd personally find interesting, but I don't think this is ever gonna end in this century with royal marriage kind of HE. 100% not the vibe I'm getting from leads or plot, nope. It also feels like writer grew to badly dislike ML as a character due to readers shipping him with FL en masse - his presence in the story has been getting less and less with time, two of them barely even interact anymore. All while FL is given a new male sidekick-slash-admirer who is written to be so bland, mid and baggage-free that no one would seriously care about him or ship them instead...

No. 2 THE FIRST NIGHT WITH THE DUKE. I imagine Taec is still (almost a year later) in grief on how HEARTBEAT’s writers did him wrong. DUKE is the third project I have seen Taec’s name connected with and of the three I hope he lets this one slide (with all due respect).

There are two other scripts (according to MDL) I think are ositting on Taec’s coffee table for his perusal that look much more interesting and daring (if you will):
1. SBS’s TAEREUNG ZOMBIE VILLAGE. According to MDL:
“— a zombie apocalypse. A zombie virus has spread throughout the Taereung Athlete’s Village, where athletes are training hard for the Olympics.” Now we are talking.
2. Netflix’s SOUL MATE. The daring one. According to MDL:
“Traversing the cities of Berlin, Seoul, and Tokyo, a 10-year-long love story between two young men is told. It all starts when Ryu Narutaki, who left everything behind in Japan, is saved by a boxer named Johan Hwang in a foreign land.”

The Taereung zombie drama does sound like potential fun - but it was announced over two years ago and seems to have gone nowhere since. There is no other cast listed on MDL besides Taec. It may be one of the many zombie (heh) projects lurking in the shadows there. I do have high hopes for Soul Mate.

First Night with the Duke seems pretty sketchy and I'm with @marcusnyc20 in hoping Taec passes on it, much as I look forward to seeing him again. As a side note, I looked briefly at the webtoon and to me the artwork is hideous. A Joseon setting would probably be an improvement, if it must be made at all.

@gikata, You are always ahead of the curve on these things and I just read an article from 27 June 2024 quoting both actors with positive comments about working on SOUL MATE:
https://about.netflix.com/en/news/japanese-live-action-series-soulmate#

I am a boxing guy. (Loved Netflix’s BLOODHOUNDS which I admit am probably in a DB minority.) Now I am really interested to see Taec’s transformation into a credible boxer. I swear Netflix could open a boxing academy: Lee Je-hoon and Lee Jae-wook (MOVE TO HEAVEN (2021), Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi (BLOODHOUNDS (2023)) are already graduates. All portrayed excellent boxing skill.

@britney, would KBS’s ZOMBIE DETECTIVE (2020) (Viki US) qualify? I seem to remember humor all over the place in ZD.

If anything, Taec would make a much more convincing boxer purely visually than barely adult virginal Joseon aristocrat...

ZOMBIE DETECTIVE certainly qualifies!

#1 sounds... almost exactly like Atypical Family?

1 - that was really... uhm... unexpected.
2 - the what?! That story IN JOSEON?! Who thought it was a good idea?! Also why not EVIL LADY'S HERO then, that's a much better written take on the same premise Also, sorry for both actors, but they aren't really fit age-wise to play young bachelors in ANY historical setting...
6 - oh, I got it - she married him because he's magical 30y.o. wizard virgin with spotless karma that can fix hers! Pure yang element, so to speak...

I'm genuinely intrigued by the Cha Eunwoo and Park Eunbin pairing. The plotline of flawed heroes who can't control their powers sounds fascinating. I'm expecting a lot of cute, silly comedy, and Eunbin is great at that. Eunwoo's comedic acting in Rookie Historian and Island was spot-on, and I'm sure he'll nail the action scenes, especially since he handled them well in Island. Eunbin must have picked up some tricks in King's Affection. If the story demands deep emotional acting, we're in for an emotional roller coaster. Eunwoo really shook me in Wonderful World; I can't count how many times I cried because of him and Namjoo. I haven't seen Eunbin in a highly melodramatic role yet, but I have no doubt she'll do a great job. This drama has got me really excited. The cast and crew look top-notch. I'm totally seated!

Park Eun Bin has been doing highly melodramatic roles for more than twenty years, I also have no doubt she'll do a great job.

I'm sure she will. I just haven't seen her in a melodrama yet, only in her more comedic roles where she was fantastic.

Wow, a superhero drama with Cha Eun Woo and Park Eunbin, I can't wait to see this combination. He did a great job in WW and she in king affection.

I saw EW in Island, where he played a mischievous priest with superpowers, and in Decibel, where he portrayed a determined sailor who sacrificed his life for others to live. In both dramas, he acted so convincingly that we cried during his final few hours in the submarine. Also, in Wonderful World,he portrayed a mysterious guy seeking revenge for his father. I could feel his pain from losing loved ones in life, and when he finally found the truth, it was the saddest part, and I couldn't stop crying. Now I'm watching Extraordinary Attorney Woo. PEB is a really smart and respected actress, so I can't wait for the combination of these two actors in superhero roles. I have no idea about other dramas, but for KYD I saw him in The Penthouse, his acting is good and I'm looking forward to this drama.
