Swapping bodies with a kiss in Branding in Seongsu

In a classic bickering romance, U+ Mobile TV’s Branding in Seongsu released a new poster and video teaser, where it all starts with a kiss for our clashing body-swap leads, Kim Ji-eun (Longing for You) and Park Solomon (a.k.a. Lomon)(Revenge of Others).

Our confident heroine Kang Na-eon (Kim Ji-eun) is an iron-fisted team lead in the marketing department at her work, and the teaser’s keywords describe her as prickly, haughty, and girl-crush worthy. Though she’s fiercely dedicated to her work, she doesn’t have time for idealistic fancies and yells, “If you’re going to act righteous while working under me, then don’t do marketing!”

Naturally, our hero So Eun-ho (Park Solomon) is Na-eon’s exact opposite as a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed puppy intern. Even when apologizing for overstepping, Eun-ho jokingly flirts that he thought his good looks would give him a pass. But despite calling him crazy, Na-eon’s rational brain loses to the heat of the moment and the two end up locking lips.

Here, we get the fantasy element of our story and Na-eon bemoans in the intermittent text screens that, “I, the team lead, and the new intern – no, the crazy intern – have completely switched souls with one kiss?!” The teaser then closes as our leads re-meet after the change and a shocked Eun-ho (in Na-eon’s body) grabs his face to exclaim, “You’re me!”

Although not featured in the teaser, in the poster we get our first look at the other half of our office love square with Yang Hye-ji (Sweet Home 2) playing the cheerful and ambitious Do Yumi. Yumi has been crushing on Cha Jung-woo (played by rookie actor Kim Ho-young), but all the while Jung-woo has his heart set on Na-eon, his longtime colleague and friend.

Directed by PD Jung Heon-soo (Twelve Nights) with scripts penned by Choi Sun-mi and Jeon Sun-young, U+ Mobile TV’s Branding in Seongsu is slated to premiere on February 5.

Body swap through a kiss I am in. Hopefully they will pitch the humour well and if they don’t stretch it out too long it will be a fun watch..

So ... how long has it been since we had a memorable
body swap drama ... someone go ask a Sparkly Tracksuit quick.

Can’t believe I’m saying this, but: the sparkly track suit would have to be considered an upgrade compared to those pants of doom again. 🫣

why are they all fiercely dedicated to their jobs. work is a devil. we shouldnt need to work. job is not an identity. Revolt! show me a person who actually wants to work

This! We have a severe and unrealistic lack of procrastinators in dramaland.

Body swapping is not my favorite drama plot and don't think it is accessible for me so problem solved. Hope its good for those who watch.

Body-swapping, time travel, love squares and evil family members... kdramas are so back! (if not in quality, then tropes). Unfortunately, as much I like the old-school premise and the dynamic of the secondary couple (Yang Hye-ji!!), I am allergic to what Kim Ji-eun passes off as "acting". Why, oh why, couldn't Yang Hye-ji be the female lead?

The plot sounds slightly similar with the chinese drama-count your lucky stars- where the leads fate got swapped through an accidental kiss. Will have to check out the first few episodes.

I was thinking it was like the Chinese drama The day of becoming you.

You are right. That drama also has a similar plot. I thought of Count your lucky stars because in that drama the leads work in the fashion industry. Hope Branding in Seongsu will not disappoint.
