Drama viewership ratings for the week of May 8-14, 2023

It’s more of the same this week as our stragglers continue to straggle (or is that struggle) and the dramas winning the ratings game continue to do so.
Doctor Cha knocks it out of the park this week with 18% (!!!), Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 3 keeps the audience it’s won over (and seems likely to do so throughout the drama’s run without even trying), and Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 stays on target with a 6% average or so.

With 18%, Dr Cha is currently the 8th Korean drama with the highest rating (from a cable channel).

Wow Dr.Cha is performing so well and catching up with a weekender!
This weeks episode weren’t much fun for me. But plot wise it’s progressing well.
I dropped good bad mother. It’s not for me even though the cast is doing a great job.

Paper Moon is rising and I like it. I guess more crowd are getting pulled into it's story.
Cheers to Dr. Cha for hitting 18%. I can only dream about what figures it'll rake in as it draws to a close.

I am hopeful The good bad mother can make it 8/9 before it ends as it is steadily climbing. I hope it’s not going to peak at 7 although it is doing much better than most of the other dramas😊 Will Dr Cha hit the 20’s and will nine tailed make double digits? Tune in next week to find out…

I want to like Dr. Cha, but I feel like she is going to stay with her husband in the end. They are probably going to have him redeem himself by giving her more attention and painting the kitchen cabinet (as the grand gesture of romance.) If that is the case, I don't like the message the show is sending.

I'm happy for My Perfect Stranger and The Secret Romantic Guesthouse.
I hope TSRG gets its highest ratings for the ending. The show deserves it! It was a fun ride.

One of the cases of a k-drama being a success outside South Korea (on legal or non-legal streaming services) but inside South Korea it seems nobody watches it. At least on air.
