Jin Ki-joo is trapped with Kim Dong-wook in Run Into You
by tccolb
After months of waiting, the second teaser for KBS’s Run Into You is here at long last, taking leads Kim Dong-wook (King of Pigs) and Jin Ki-joo (Showtime Begins) back to 1987 on a time travel trip that wasn’t supposed to be one-way.
While news anchor Yoon Hae-joon (Kim Dong-wook) is hunting for the truth behind yet another a serial murder case, Baek Yoon-young (Jin Ki-joo) has the curious goal of preventing her parents’ marriage. But when their mode of transport breaks down, our two heroes gain the added and shared challenge of how to return to their present day.
Although not featured, supporting cast for the fantasy includes Seo Ji-hye (Love All Play), Lee Won-jung (Extraordinary Attorney Woo), and Kim Hye-eun (May It Please the Court) among others.
The new video teaser opens with the fateful time crash in question as our protagonists arrive in a busy neighborhood. Trying to stay calm, Hae-joon tells Yoon-young that, “We just arrived in 1987 and there isn’t a way to return. We’re trapped here.”
In the sequence, we see the many error messages that alarm our pair and their car is in no shape for more travel. Even more concerning is the murder scene that they’ve come across. As the teaser then closes on the drama’s title card, we hear Hae-joon explain, “There’s something I need to know.”
Written by Baek So-yeon (Tale of Nokdu) with co-directing by PD Kang Soo-yeon (Tale of Nokdu, Ghost Detective) and PD Lee Woong-hee, KBS’s Run Into You is slated to premiere on May 1, following Oasis in the Monday-Tuesday slot.

I am so hype for this. I hope the fact that they pushed it back doesn't mean anything bad.

It was a broadcasting slot change -- not production woes (that we know, anyway) -- so fingers crossed!

Finally!
I really think they should have aired it on Wednesday-Thursday. They would have had no drama as competition.

Initially it sounded wonderfully silly with all the "time-travel to undo your own birth by preventing your parents' marriage" (yes, silly... not relatable at all, shut up, you stupid inner voice!), but now they're apparently trapped in the past for some reason? With a serial killer as a possible company? Expected comeuppance for messing with timeline, but way less in terms of fun.

We're finally getting more content! I hope they focus more on the personal and mystery elements and less on the serial murders. I'm probably tough out of luck, but I'll keep on hoping.

Excited for this!! Big fan of Kim Dong Wook.
It's been a while since I've watched a crime/mystery/serial killer drama too. (Not counting CCIR! -_-)
