[Staff Spotlight] Get to know SugarSnow

Explain your username and/or avatar.
My username came up out of thin air, to be honest. I am a big sweet tooth and love the winter, so I wanted to blend the two. That’s about it! Haha.

What is the first drama that you watched (or the first drama that made an impression)?
So my Mom’s side of the family is Korean and I would visit my Halmoni during the summer for extended periods of time. During this time she would watch dramas and I would hear them in the background and tune in every now and then. Out of all the dramas that would play, the first one to stick with me was probably Iris, though, spawning my love for Lee Byung-heon!

Name a job or two that you’ve had in the past.
I used to officiate basketball games, and still do when I get the time!

What drama genres do you especially like?
I love thriller-sageuks and suspense genres but this question is like choosing between your children.

What was your major in school?
I majored in Communications in college.

What’s a random skill you have?
I can play Guitar Hero on expert mode with ease.

Favorite non-Korean movie and/or TV show?
My favorite non-Korean movie is Rocky and TV show is Daredevil.

Which Hallyu celebrity would you actually want to meet and spend an hour with?
Sooo you’re telling me I can finally go on a date with Seo Ye-ji?! But like, an hour with Gong Yoo is tough to turn down…

Which of the 7 deadly sins would be your undoing? (Pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, or sloth.)
Out of all of the 7 deadly sins, envy would be the one to take me.

When we're together, to this day, me and my Grandma will still sit down and binge K-dramas for hours! We were just watching 'My Mister' the other day -- which is fantastic, I'm disappointed that I held off from watching it for so long.

Iris was such a good show (or at least that's how I remember it). It deserves a rewatch.

I recently just finished watching 'The Crowned Clown' with Yeo Jin-gu, if you haven't seen it, and I had a blast!

'Chuno' (Slave Hunters) with Jang Hyuk is less thriller-y, but is one of my favorite K-dramas in general for another sageuk recommendation if you haven't seen that either!

Nice to meet you 😊 I love that you can watch dramas for hours and what a bonus that you get to share your thoughts in the weecaps and then you can be up and down the court officiating a basketball game.
