Premiere Watch: Taxi Driver 2
by missvictrix
Time slot: Friday-Saturday
Broadcaster: SBS
Genre: Crime, action
Episode count: 16
Reasons to watch: After the success of Taxi Driver in 2021, our crew is back for more vigilante justice in a new season. Now, I’m far from sanguine about season twos in general, but if they have to be done, the original cast returning is essential. Luckily, that is happening here, with the exception of Esom. I didn’t watch all the way through the first season of this drama, but the Batman-esque story definitely struck a cord with viewers, and continues the current storyline trend of extralegal methods to bring justice to victims where the law has failed them. The drama also has really great lore around it – from the hidden garage to the cassette tape deck — so between that and Le Je-hoon as our charismatic anti-hero, it’s easy to see why viewers are hungry for more.
TL;DR: The taxi service is back for more vigilante justice

one of few drama actually suited to be on ocn more than sbs due to length they go on brutality. sad, it won appear immediately on One HD or even Netflix. need to wait more 😭😭😭.

This is on Viki (Plus) in the US. I love Lee Je-hoon quite a lot, but since the first season just became available to me, I guess I better start with that.
If they make Shin Jae-ha into a bad guy for no reason (side-eyeing you, Crash Course in Romance) we'll have to have words.

In my darkest moments, I wish a mighty and infallible goddess of vengeance did exist to exact revenge solely against war mongers and profiteers, despots, environmental vandals, those who plan and commit genocide, torture, war crimes and crimes against humanity as well as abusers of all kind and rapists. But, this is RL and vigilantism is a highly dangerous slippery slope. I’m really ill at ease with such shows. Will still watch it but will feel guilty about it for sure.

I hate that kdramas continued to venture into the seasons format. BUT I’ll take it if I get taxi driver and Lee in it. This drama wrecked me in the first season and I’m here for it for the second season too!
