Jeon Do-yeon teaches stretching for a Crash Course in Romance
by tccolb
A new teaser has arrived for tvN’s rom-com Crash Course in Romance, where feelings are starting to flutter for the story’s couple-to-be: Jeon Do-yeon (Human Disqualification) and Jung Kyung-ho (Hospital Playlist 2).
Our heroine Nam Haeng-sun (Jeon Do-yeon) is a retired athlete and banchan business owner – in addition to being a mom to her teenage daughter Roh Yoon-seo (Our Blues). But with said daughter now wanting extra help to prepare for college, this brings Haeng-sun to cross paths with our hotshot math instructor Choi Chi-yeol (Jung Kyung-ho).
We did get a peek at Haeng-sun’s family and best friend Lee Bong-ryun (Narco-Saints) in previous promos, but Chi-yeol’s devoted aide Shin Jae-ha (My Unfamiliar Family) remains woefully missing. Not to mention, fellow moms Jang Young-nam (Cheer Up), Kim Sun-young (Stock Struck), and Hwang Bora (Kiss Sixth Sense).
The new teaser begins with Chi-yeol visiting the banchan shop and he asks Haeng-sun if she’s already done for the day. With a tiny smile, she recalls her friend’s (Lee Bong-ryun) suspicions that Chi-yeol has fallen for Haeng-sun and that he’s giving her the green light. In the text screen that follows the scene, we’re told that their bittersweet romance begins on January 14.
We then jump to our pair on what looks like a camping trip, where Haeng-sun is helping Chi-yeol with some stretching exercises. But he’s mortified after he accidentally causes her to fall backwards on a bucket of water. Thankfully, the teaser comes to a close on a more intimate moment afterwards when a tired Chi-yeol rests his head on Haeng-sun’s shoulder.
Directed by PD Yoo Je-won (Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha) with scripts by Yang Hee-seung (Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-ju), tvN’s Crash Course in Romance premieres January 14, taking over the weekend slot following Alchemy of Souls 2.
