Premiere Watch: Gaus Electronics
by missvictrix
Time slot: Friday-Saturday
Broadcaster: ENA
Genre: Workplace, comedy, slice-of-life
Episode count: 12
Reasons to watch: ENA is on a roll, and Gaus Electronics is the latest drama to hit their channel in a newly-created weekend slot. We’ll have to see how it fares against the competition, but also…. Kwak Dong-yeon! He’s got his first leading role here as a simple-hearted newbie at the office, and I can’t wait to see him bring all the things to this role. Opposite him is Go Sung-hee, as well as a big cast of colorful office characters. The story is a little bit of a question mark still — will it veer more towards the comedy or the slice-of-life? — but either way, I think it has a willing and waiting audience.
TL;DR: Kwak Dong-yeon LEAD ROLE! Also, office hijinks and comedy

My weekend viewing schedule is ridiculous now I am adding this into the mix! I think it will be a good replacement for Unicorn

So happy to see Kwok Dong-yeon as the lead! He really impressed me in Big Mouse as Jerry. It is already added to my huge list of watching but hey, what's one more?

My weekend schedule is hilariously full for both kdrama and non-kdrama related tv, but anything for Kwak Dong-yeon.

Finally KDY got his leading role....I was looking forward to this until I saw who the FL is.... Too bad that GSH is one among the k drama artists, whose works I totally avoid. So this is a pass for me. 🥴🥴

Kwak Dong Yeon, Kwak Dong Yeon, Kwak Dong Yeon!!!!! If there's any actor I'd support all the way through a show for his first lead role for, despite how well or not well everything else turns out to be, as an exception to how I normally watch shows, it would be him.

I’m a huge fan of ENA. I’ve liked every single one of their shows (yeah, they’ve only had 3). I think I’ll like this one too!

Still waiting for subtitles on Viki.
Has anyone noticed that if you add another ''s' at the end of Gaus you get Gauss? As in Carl Friedrich Gauss (1777–1855) who was a German mathematician and physicist- for whom the term gauss is named- a unit of magnetic flux density or magnetic induction- which is quite important to the generation of electricity. Just wondering if that might have inspired our company's name.

I am quite happy with it being a twelve 45-minutes episodes show. Bodes well for pacing.
I have a special spot in my heart for shows that take place in an office. Hopefully this will also lean to slice-of-life genre and not just comedy.
Can't wait to have time off MY office job to watch it, hahah
