I was really struggling with the top ten although I easily narrowed down the top 5. I think dividing into genres I could list about 40 dramas and films that got me to my binge watching up late nights current self. I would definitely have a top ten just on fantasy as a lot of the time travel and ghost ones had to be left off. So glad people added their honourable mentions list so I could include some of those that felt betrayed! I also liked the distinction that these are not necessarily the ones we would recommend as they touch us as individuals and other people might not get it. There are a few currently running I would add but I have learnt the hard way that something can start off great and then become a fast forward or read on dramabeans recap because they tried to stretch out a series to 16 episodes that would have been great at 10-12 episodes.

These are all shows I've liked enough to rewatch the whole thing at least once. That's a requirement for top shows in my book (ok, actually my computer's old downloads folders). Loving and rewatching just the good bits doesn't cut it if other parts are too bad to suffer thru again (Voice). Really liking the whole show the first time also isn't enough, which eliminates shows like Stranger & Welcome to Waikiki (jokes & mysteries don't hold up when I know what's coming), Mother (too grim), My Mister & Hotel del Luna (no particular reason, just don't want to see again).

Short shows have a bit rewatchability bonus. Kim So-hyun and Ko Hyun-jung have been good enough to make me rewatch some shows that I otherwise wouldn't have.
