Beanie level: Chaebol’s poor doppelganger

“It’s not that we need to make the right choice in itself, it’s putting in the effort to make that the right choice. And if you’ve done your part by putting in the effort,

you can make another choice without regretting it. Repeatedly making choices and taking responsibilities, isn’t that what life is about.”

Thanks Good Partner, for the wonderful advice! What a great show about finding personal resolution in the messiness of life.

    Thank you for sharing.

K-drama advice is great therapy!! 😅😂

My Mom’s Friend’s Son: Wow, wow, wow! That was great. It’s funny, the leads have great chemistry already, and FL’s argument with mom in 2 was so raw.

    Didn’t love: violence as humor

K-drama have a different sense of what is acceptable humor. Including toilet humor which is a big no-no forme. 🙈🙂‍↔️

Oh yes, I hate toilet humor! It’s so not funny. A lot of Western shows have over the top sexual humor, which I also find a bit much.

Done subtly and smartly it may be interesting but over done and over exaggerated as it usually is, it becomes gross.

Auditors: first episodes good but nothing new. There’s potential if evil VP comes over to the good side and president is actually evil. Naivety of the youngest was laid on a bit thick. No library yet!

My Sweet Mobster: oof, a lot of angst. At least the noble idiocy makes more sense when you are a former mobster. I was so glad Taek got reunited with his sister.

Connection: Many bad decisions this week, imagining everyone will end up in jail. Feels close to end, but 6 more? Also, I think the instigating agent is not an obvious baddie.

You may be right about the ‘not an obvious baddie’.. let’s see…

    4 more. It’s 14 episodes.

Oh, that makes sense. That’s exactly how much it feels like they need to wrap it up. The show page here says 16.

Cutest drunk scene, ever. Coming from a teetotaler. #lovelymobster

NO, don\’t trust Kwon Yul! He\’s selling candy drugs instead of investigating them! Also, that driver is a player! Oops, wrong drama. But seriously, I\’m getting tonal whiplash. #lovelylobster

AHHHHH! Squee!!! (Me, episode 16 Lovely Runner)
The bad was suddenly done, but then we got a whole hour of amazingness!
The moment with grandma! The fakeout proposal!
Most useful, adorable 2ML ever

Thank you, Kim Tae Sung, for getting rid of twisted fates and Truck of Doom for being so useful for once.

TOD gave a stellar performance! The amazing acrobatics of getting the bad guy over that railing and a straight drop into the river!

Yes, that was a very talented TOD! He deserves a spot in the kdrama hall of fame.

The last episode was truly a dream come true. No wonder uri Woo-seoki cried on reading the script. I know i would have. 😂❤

Lovely Runner, that was the two best hours of a kdrama I have had in so long. Laughed and squeed. I love how as adults Sol still is oblivious and Sunjae still covers problematic things with blankets.

hahahaha yessss 🙌 him trying to drag over a gigantic quilt to cover the capsule, when it would’ve been so much easier to just chuck that thing under the bed or something, was so hilarious, why is he such an adorkable loser 😂

    7
    1

I know! How did he become an idol?

      4
      2

right 😆 I guess there’s always that one idol in a group who’s a bit of a wildcard hahahahah, it’s funny though that Sunjae’s idol persona and his actual self are poles apart (which reminds me of the little flip between the two when In-hyuk comes home and Sunjae goes from flustered to stoic and pensive posing in front of the wardrobe)

        5
        1

Isn’t that basic 101 criteria of being an idol?

Be adorkable; cool on stage and clumsy otherwise

        4
        1

Why brush things under the carpet when you can cover them with a blanket.

Sun Sol are really a barrel of laughs and squees. 😍😍😍♥️♥️♥️

Somehow QoT was almost 2 hours but didn’t give me all I wanted, like a proper kiss, time at the newlywed home. I didn’t want grand gestures and skipping around, but day to day relationship building.

    You’re right.
They talk too much about the things they had to improve but they didn’t do any of those things.

I’m still shocked that till the end, those two slept in separate rooms. 😂

Eun-who’s story was stretched to an extent where there was no time left for the OTP.

    1
    0

Exactly a rom-com without a proper high on soju, blush to the moon toe curling kiss. all the important OTP scenes gone like ending had a connection problem.

That is such a great description! Luckily Lovely Runner got it right.

It was fun to watch Hae-in”s detective work putting together the pieces, especially with her secretary. But girl, why did you not take a taxi when you knew he was watching you? If BIH has amnesia….

KTL Epilogue: We know you were all mainly watching to see Junho in suits. Lol. Although I did enjoy the dress up scene gender flip. Yoona drinking tea was hilarious.

From MB: “Yes, that’s it. Put serial murder in it! I can tell this one will be a big hit” hahahahaha. I’m glad the writers can laugh at the trend too.

Thank you, Call It Love, for a great two months together! Enjoying the feeling of resolution after a well done emotional arc.

CCIR, I’m going to view the deadly rocks as a minor annoyance. I know that a romcom without a mystery violence element wouldn’t get shown these days, so I forgive you. Otherwise, great premiere!

Same here. I’d rather it have non-violent mysteries or subplots.. but well those things aren’t happening anymore these days.

I just rewatched 1% of something. I imagine now they have two kids, and are already fighting over violin or K-pop lessons. Jae In still wears tacky suits and Dada promotes Ji Su. They are very happy.

Melo is My Nature!!!!!!! So honest, and different, and making fun of itself. It\’s amazing. The remote control tractor moment! That and the aegyo made me laugh so hard.
