Lee Dong-wook, Wie Ha-joon face off in Bad and Crazy

Photos from the first script read for upcoming drama Bad and Crazy were recently released. Brought to us by the production team of The Uncanny Counter, this new series tells a different kind of superhero story.

Lee Dong-wook (Tale of the Nine Tailed) plays the part of Soo-yeol, a capable but “bad” guy. He’s a cop who doesn’t blink an eye at bending the rules and using corruption and bribery to pursue his leads and attain his objectives. When he meets Wie Ha-joon’s (Squid Game) character, the “crazy” but righteous K, sparks begin to fly. K’s heart is in the right place, but he uses his fists first instead of thinking through consequences.

Han Ji-eun (The Witch’s Diner) plays a police lieutenant in the drug crimes division and Soo-yeol’s ex-girlfriend. Cha Hak-yeon (Mine) plays a sweet, rule-following rookie cop who is the anti-corruption team’s maknae.

Other actors present at the script read included: Sung Ji-roo (Penthouse 3), Lee Joo-hyun, Cha Shi-won (Evil), Kang Ae-shim (You Are My Spring), Kim Dae-gon (Sell Your Haunted House), Lee Hwa-ryong (Devil Judge), and Im Ki-hong (My Name). Cha Shi-won plays Lee Dong-wook’s friend. Kim Dae-gon and Kang Ae-shim play his family.

Friday-Saturday tvN drama Bad and Crazy will begin airing this December.

Can anyone direct me to a showcase of his great acting? I’ve only ever seen him do “the grumpy guy” - maybe because I’ve ended up only seeing him in rom coms? I’m starting to believe that’s all he can do…

He has other dramas you can watch aside from the romcoms. I will watch this drama just because he is in it. Nothing wrong with that.

Yep. I am not bothered as much with his acting. He is good and can hold his own. His grumpy take as Grim Reaper is actually one of my faves.

If you want to see a scary Lee Dong Wook, check out 'Hell Is Other People'. He was so good in that drama. Like how Lee Seung Gi scared me with his acting, Lee Dong Wook's performance was scary as hell (Pun intended!)
