Jang Nara scouts Jung Yong-hwa for Daebak Realty

Daebak Realty, featuring Jung Yong-hwa (The Package) and Jang Nara (Oh My Baby), has released a new poster and teaser. The poster shows the two characters peering together, as copy reads, “Knock, knock, knock, we’re here to exorcise the spirit.”

Jang Nara plays a real estate company CEO, who is also an exorcist. Jung Yong-hwa plays a glib con artist who pretends to be an exorcist to scam people. In the teaser, various spiritual items are shown, and Jang Nara asks, “Has anyone died in this building recently?… How about any murders?”

Her office manager introduces their firm, “Daebak Realty is a real estate company the specializes in properties that have been visited by ghosts.” Jang Nara strides out of an emergency room into an abandoned hallway where a spirit ambushes her. Keeping her cool, she pulls out her gun and shoots.

Someone asks Jung Yong-hwa whether he’s thinking of selling the building at market price. He brushes him off saying, “Of course not. There’s nothing such as ghosts.” However, a pair of dark hands grasp at Jung Yong-hwa’s ankles in the water, seemingly trying to drown him. Perhaps it was all a dream because we see him next safe and sound on land.

Jang Nara proposes a partnership with Jung Yong-hwa for a project, and he scoffs at her offer until she says she’ll give him ten million won. Even then he refuses, saying money isn’t the problem. When she ups his share to twenty million, it looks like the deal is on.

His curiosity piqued, Jung Yong-hwa asks, “So how do exorcisms work?” Jang Nara usually sends bullets flying toward evil ghosts and puts up spiritual barriers. In the next scene, she screams for Jung Yong-hwa to take off his crucifix, possibly using him as bait. She continues to be a badass exorcist on her relentless quest to rid properties of ghosts, going as far as to threaten them by saying, “There’s no use in persisting. Let’s end this quickly.”

The last scene could be interpreted as chilling or sweet. Jang Nara tells Jung Yong-hwa, “Because you’re special,” as she affixes the crucifix on around his neck. He just stands there like a deer caught in headlights.

Co-written by Ha Soo-jin, Lee Young-hwa, and Jung Yeon-seo, and directed by Park Jin-seok, KBS Wednesday-Thursday drama Daebak Realty will begin airing on April 14.

I'm really looking forward to this, I like Jang Nara and I love stories where a faker comes up against the real thing and they have to work together. Also, other dramas have touched on the concept of real estate agents making a living exorcising and flipping properties and I've always thought that was a great concept so I'm excited to see it be the central concept of a drama.
Hoping this lives up to my expectations!

I’m looking forward to watch the hot-tempered/ badass exorcist Hong Jiah and see how Jang Nara gives life to such a character. What i’m not looking forward though are those ghosts ...

It looks like the next Zombie Detective where it was aired on the same channel with a different timeslot (Zombie Detective = Mon.-Tues.; Daebak Realty = Wed.-Thurs.) because both are TV horror comedies but I hope both are within the dramatic scenes so I said TV horror dramedies.

I love Jung Yong-hwa being shirtless and wore a silver necklace while swimming in the pool.

I love _________ being shirtless and wore a silver necklace while swimming in the pool.

Instruction:
Fill in the blank with the name of any male actor/singer and we'll still get the same swoony result. 😉

This drama is right up my alley. I love dramas where the FL is a badass and the ML is a coward/scaredy-cat. It is always interesting to see the ML get his ass handed to him
