Drama viewership ratings for the week of Oct. 26-Nov. 1, 2020

Just like that, October and the spooky season have left us, taking some dramas with them. Zombie Detective was a short but sweet treat, finishing off its 12-episode run with 2.6 percent. In the same timeslot, Record of Youth finished its 16-episode run with its highest rating of 8.7 percent. Very close to 10 percent there, but the drama couldn’t quite make it.
Before October fully came to an end, we also had a few premieres. Suspense drama Penthouse came in with 9.2 percent and jumped to 10.1 percent the next day. And I’m getting SKY Castle vibes in both the drama and its high numbers. Fly Dragon came in pretty strong as well, following Alice, while Kairos landed around 3 percent. Interesting group of shows we have here, that’s for sure.

I think it can be consider as Graceful Family on steroids. I never watched My Unfamiliar Family but from comments on DB fanwall, I don't think it's a makjang 😅.
My personal opinion is...Penthouse is a mashup of elements from Return, The Last Empress, and SKY Castle. Hahaha

I'm wondering if I should? But makjang is fun watching, but ultimately b/c of the craziness occurring that I don't care much about the characters. Might watch it when it hits Ep 8, and binge-watch it from there.

I'm glad to see Start-Up passing 5%.
Knetz responded very positively to Kairos, but it seems unlikely ratings will grow much. I'm looking forward to the next episode.
Episode 2 of Fly Dragon sold me. Fighting!

Lol. Penthouse writer is considered a sure hit ratings writer. Her dramas are controversial but addictive, suitable for rage watching. Some watch just to see the downfall of the baddies 🤣.
Same thoughts about Kairos. Looking forward to ep 3 too. I'm happy that the reviews for week 1 are positive and hopefully it remains positive through out its run. Fighting!

MBC dramas have a harder time reaching double digits since the last few yrs...One Spring Night was the last time they had a weekday show hit double digits.

Start Up deserves its ratings and then some!! It deserves the ratings ROY got (Total snooze fest) vs. Start Up which is fresh and heartfelt.
Despite it being a underdog story featuring young people, you know a drama is good when people of all ages can enjoy the story. I had people who are in their middle age to older age who watched Start Up and enjoyed it a lot. Sign of a great story imo!!
Keep going show, I hope it reaches double digits (Well that is if they can keep the quality until the end!!).

I've seen a fraction of people who got curious about Kairos and it kept trending on naver the day after the 1st episode aired. There were some comments that said they will watch it on the weekend so if they decide to follow real time airings maybe it will rise in the following weeks. Hopefully.

My Dangerous Wife ratings:
Episode 1: 2.58
Episode 4: 3.05 (high)
Episode 8: 1.74 (low)
I think the show burned through its main story line/mystery too fast to sustain interest.

I'm really on the fence about picking this one up. I hated "Gone Girl," and I feel like that is basically what this show is. However, I love Choi Won-young. I'm so torn.

Penthouse is absolutely appalling - all that screaming, scheming, and crying, all the women over-made-up and so much over-acting but I absolutely cannot stop watching it. Is there any Kdrama where the rich kids are not vicious little monsters? The lesson should be that the greater your wealth and power, the more responsibility you have for the way you behave.
