All this time, our heroes have felt that God was never on their side. He never listened to their prayers, never granted their wishes, and He never showed mercy. Still, even during the worst of times, our tragic trio are holding out hope that He will save them in the end. If not Him, then maybe the drama gods will swoop in.Tags: Angel's Last Mission: Love

I couldn't finish this despite loving SHS and L. This video affirms that I made the right decision. I just got mad again after this short clip.
It's interesting to observe humans?
Humans will die and disappear?
Angels will fly around forever?
How godawful!

My frustration with this writer and her choices really overshadows any happiness I might have had that they ended up together. The HOW of ending up together was such a cop-out, it basically invalidated their whole story. They could have just skipped ten episodes and ended up in the same place, without so many frustrating and disappointing poor plot choices.

I love this final scene- and vehemently disagree that it was just some sort of last minute fan service add-on. Many plot elements in the story pointed to this final resolution.
The reason the scene felt otherwise was all of the red herrings which the writer- quite unintentionally- drew across our drama's path. This was because the writer thought that somehow elements of the Buddhist world view could be grafted onto a Judeo Christian one. That is why the writer chose to alter the role of angels from the agents of god- who exist to perform tasks- into mere observers who in particular are forbidden to kill (then why was the first angel to appear in the bible armed with a flaming sword?). It was this jarring mishmash which made this ending seem contrived- when it was clearly intended from the beginning.
Strip away the nonsensical elements which had no place in this story and see the love story. It may be hard but in the end this scene is the only one that fits that story. And it is beautiful.
