I can understand why she would be worried about jian. She was headstrong and impulsive, but also equally intuitive and intelligent. And now she also has Lee hyun by her side. So she needn't worry ;-)

I'm happy that she chose Ji-An from Hello Monster as the character she'd most like to be friends with. Ji-An was such a badass! I loved seeing that side of Jang Nara.

Jang Nara is one of my favorite Korean actress. She’s a rare coincidence that worked with my favorite Chinese AND Korean actor (Bosco Wong and Seo In Guk). I’ve grown to love her acting and every drama has made me love her more.

And yeah, Ji An worries me too. Lee Joon Young is still on the loose😥

That was really interesting. Especially the last question about Empress. She started to deflect but then flipped and answered it in the context of the previous question. So I think that was unusually candid for a Korean actress (I'm taking her answer as "no I didn't know it was going to be SO crazy but I'm glad it's popular and I wanted to do the show to illustrate someone who had no power fighting and trying to hang on.")

Hi... love you guys by the way. Jang Nara is an amazing actress. Loved the last empress so much, but I wanna ask. Why was Wang shik's character taken so unimportantly at the final four episodes? Didn't see him even when he died hugging a bomb... no last words or anything, he wasn't even talked about much in the final episode and he started the whole revenge thing. Please I want to know why if anyone's got an answer

THE LAST EMPRESS was not on my radar when it aired (too many other dramas on my plate at the time), but now that it has finished its run, I'm inclined to give it a watch after viewing this dandy interview with Jang Na-ra. I appreciate her criteria for selecting projects.

I just started watching MY LOVE PATZZI, her second drama (2002), and do I ever have a case of whiplash. ;-)

BTW: Her orabeoni, Jang Sung-won, played the physician-monk in CROWNED CLOWN. The family resemblance is uncanny -- and youthful.
