Yi-deum’s mother and her nurse caretaker sneak away to escape Jo Gap-soo’s henchman. Jin-wook’s mother is shocked to see Yi-deum’s mother still alive, and helps the two women get away.

This might be the most perfect episode of Witch’s Court so far. Not perfect quality, but the perfect representation of the show, in all its strengths and weaknesses: infuriating coincidences disguised as plot, surprisingly effective minor characters, boring bad guys, fist-pumping moments of triumph, great emotional pay-off—and above all, Ma Yi-deum at the center of it all. So come on folks, let’s get ready for the showdown.
