        (Moon-young kinda reminds me of Min-ho from My Girlfriend is a Nine-tailed Fox years ago when she’s like “let’s go eat meat” and “I want you” lines. haha)

I’m enjoying this drama a lot. I was hooked from the very beginning, with the animated introduction. They are killing it on all fronts—story, acting, cinematography, editing, social relevance. I love it all! I really hope they keep it up until the last episode.

I just finished watching #Kingdom Season 2 and while the final scene got me excited for Season 3…

It also greatly reminded me of another drama\’s ending scene that screams for another season. Please write #Signal Season 2 soon, Kim Eun-Hee writer-nim!

    I don’t really like JJH much, and the show description of elite lawyers who serve the top 1% of society was a turn-off for me. Then I saw a clip on IG and now I can’t wait for it to finish airing so I can binge!

One of the best things about Mò Xiāng Tóng Xiù’s novels is the amount of fanart it helped churn out. Some fanartists have officially been hired to do art for the donghua, manhua and audio drama adaptations (i.e. Qianerbai, Gearous, etc.). However, unless hired officially, these fanartists can’t monetize on their fanart because JJWXC owns the rights to the novels. The only way they can share it with other fans (loophole) is through pay for production projects (p4p) or by offering them as freebies on their online stores. Basically, for p4p, the fanartists give away their art for free and only ask fellow fans to pay for the cost of producing prints, keychains, charms, stickers, etc. I’ve joined several p4ps, mostly from Singapore and the Philippines because shipping is so expensive. My first haul is from Kit from Singapore. I got her WangXian shirts, bunny pin, pot stickers and WWX and LWJ standees. The standees are my favorite because the quality is just awesome. I can’t wait to receive my HuaLian and Yunmeng siblings standees on my second order! I missed getting the HuaLian shirts because at the time I still haven’t read the novel. Aside from getting merch, I get to discover local artists/creatives and support their work, not only MXTX-related ones.

Hi Beanies! It\’s been a while since I dropped by Dramabeans. The last time I posted, I put the dramas I was watching on hold. Unfortunately, I have not picked them back up and I have not finished a single drama since. 😆

I\’m still happily stuck in Mò Xiāng Tóngxiù\’s universe. I have finished reading all three of her novels and I\’m eagerly awaiting her next one! I loved each one but my favorite would have to be Tiān Guān Cì Fú or Heaven Official\’s Blessing. I\’m looking forward to the donghua\’s release next year. 🧧

For now, I\’m just enjoying being stuck and that includes stalking Twitter for news on Xiao Zhan, Wang Yi Bo and anything MXTX and buying official merchandise. 😅

There\’s a tweet that goes: MDZS is NSFW. Mó Dào Zǔ Shī is not safe for wallet. They weren\’t kidding! 😂

I found someone on Twitter who hosts group buys for fellow Filipino fans of Mó Dào Zǔ Shī and The Untamed. I ordered some stuff and I just got them yesterday! 🛍💸

These boys have started to move on but I have not. 😂

It’s been a while since I checked Dramabeans. Other aspects of my life have taken priority over fangirling. I even had to put watching Extraordinary You and Tale of Nokdu on hold. I spend whatever time I can spare reading Mo Xiang Tong Xiu’s Heaven Official’s Blessings (Tian Guan Ci Fu) and scrolling Twitter for MXTX content. 😅 I’m so excited for them to cast and start shooting the drama based on the novel. I hope, fingers crossed, they do as good or even better job on HOB/TGCF. For now, I’ll keep reading the novel while waiting for the drama as well as Xiao Zhan’s and Wang Yi Bo’s new dramas. 📕

    My current obsession. I just finished the novel yesterday and loved it. I think it’s even better then The Untamed novel. I canceled going to my moms to binge watch dramas for the weekend to instead spend the whole 3 days off just reading instead.

    I also really really hope they can do a good job adapting to the drama and can find some actors to perfectly fit the roles.

    I was actually thinking of what actors would work for the roles and couldn’t think of anyone. Who do you think would work for the roles?

      I am also blissfully down the rabbit hole of HOB for the past few weeks! I am about half way through this wonderfully fantastical but also painful tale. 😭😂😂

      I thought Dylan Wang would make a good charismatic and mischievous HC, and Joseph Zheng has such delicately feminine features to be convincing as XL. They are both extremely tall with DiDi just a 3-4 cm taller than Joseph, but if they can make LZ look taller than XZ, it should not be too big of a problem for this pairing.

        Oh! Dylan Wang! I only saw him in Meteor Garden but he did a good job in that. At first I was like ‘he is too young’ but then remembered that HC only looks to be about 18 years old. I actually can totally imagine him as HC. I think it’s because his character is bigger then life I forget he still looks like a teenager 😆

        I haven’t seen Joseph Zheng in anything before, but looking at pictures I can easily imagine him as XL. Definitely has the looks of what I imagine XL to look like.

        I can’t believe I have to wait 1-2 years before the drama will be released 😣

        I just now downloaded and emailed MXTX’s first novel The Scum Villain to my kindle. So that will be my next read! Pretty sure MXTX is my new favorite author lol

          Hoho… Scum Villain is good as a fluff fantasy BL, but I got a bit of whiplash after finishing the other 2 very heavy books (and tbh, I’m not as enamored with the romantic pairing here). It’s kinda messing with my brain though, to read Scum Villain while watching Extraordinary You at the same time since both deal with changing fate in an alternate world.

      I haven’t dream casted this yet. Maybe when I finish the novel. I have no objections to @kimbapnoona‘s casting though. My brain just goes: “Please make it work, if not better than The Untamed, then just as good.” when I think about the drama adaptation. 🤞🙏

        Same! I think the Untamed did an excellent job of adapting to the drama while avoiding the numerous censor issues and still keeping pretty true to the novel. And the casting I think was perfect.

        I just hope and pray HOB drama will be able to do that same

I’ve been very comfortably stuck at the Burial Mounds for months now. But I’m hoping to finish some other dramas before the year ends. I hope this one stays on my Watch List.
