Oh the delight to hear Jun-ki repeatedly saying “gwaen chan da” in Gyeongsang dialect in the same manner as Go Chang-suk who uses it so often in the Childish Bromance show that the rest of the cast also picked up on it.
There’s an actor in-the-making. PD-nims, take note! Posting this since it’s the Lunar New Year (tomorrow) and the boys are in their hanbok(s), so to Beanies who are celebrating it: 새해 복 많이 받으세요! Happy Lunar New Year!
Should’ve known that they’re not gonna stop at poo and boogers, but because I’ve accepted Waikiki as the class clown of the lot and it’s not easy to keep the comedy coming, so I’ll let that slide. Besides, Jun-ki continues to shine again in this episode with his little background story (even if it’s cliché), despite his troublemaker side. Thank goodness something’s coming up for Doo-shik, else I’d be flipping some imaginary tables.
I don’t care for some of the gross humor but the other parts are so laugh out loud funny that I’ve been letting it slide…for now. I haven’t seen episode 4 yet.
Yeah, I usually get over those parts quickly because the rest are funny enough to keep the ship going 😀 I just hope that they’ll have enough material for the LOL moments, cos’ Episode 4 made me realise that I do have a certain threshold for this gross humour :’)
Yeah I’ll have to wait and see cause I haven’t seen too many spoilers but it seems like there’s throw up involved and I don’t do well with that…that was the worst scene in Go Back Spouses and You’re Beautiful **shudders**
I legitly gagged in episode 4. I couldn’t find the remote fast enough to fast forward. So be warned there is a gross scene coming. It was supposed to be funny but it was too disgusting for me to actually find funny 😭😑
If you are easily grossed out this is advisable. It was somewhere before the halfway mark. I really hope this is the last of this kind of thing…my body can’t handle it. Especially as I was eating breakfast when it was happening!!!!! 🤢
I gagged too. I still gag a bit when I think of it! And I didn’t even see it, because I saw it coming and looked away, but I *heard* it which might have been worse.
LOL it’s beyond my imagination what goes on in the meeting room (or on set) to discuss the comedy for this show, especially for Jun-ki’s 😂😂😂
Dong-gu was hilarious and I love the other characters too, but for now I’m absolutely entertained by Jun-ki’s episodes as an extra on the set. The boy is so earnest and hopeful that I just wanna give him a cookie and a hug, haha. I hope Lee Yi-kyung doesn’t bellow himself to smithereens by the end of this show 😂😂😂
Just finished episode 3 and now I’m completely hooked. If they can keep up the level up immature, potty-level, cringe-worthy humor to keep me laughing hysterically I will be very happy.
Dong Gu is priceless!
I don’t know what was funnier, picking his nose, poor/bad/horrific rapping, “I’ll NEVER get over her in a hundred years!”, meeting bluemutantguy again, or getting waxed by your girlfriend’s sister before being treated by girlfriend’s mom at hospital….
Honestly, this was the funnest hour I’ve spent in a long time.
Thank you KDrama gods!!!
IKR! I didn’t even think I would enjoy this level of slapstick and the amount of 💩 or hair jokes that they pulled. The waxing is a running joke in K-variety show ever since Kim Jong-min (1N2D) confessed on TV that he did it. Heh, I don’t see why guys can’t do waxing, but that spilt ramyun soup scene…I see why it could be hazardous. LOL.
But behind all the comedic facade, I think this show does the subtle messages just nice. Of having a dream and pursuing it (and finding the right one for you) no matter what. So it’s not all crazies and childish grown-ups running amok 😀
I just wish Doo-shik would also have some moments of his own to shine too. And I want to see moar romantic couple chemistry!
Yeah, I agree wholeheartedly. I just hope that he doesn’t get type-casted because I feel that Lee Jun-ki here is Go Dok-jae 2.0 with a career goal. Mirror of the Witch is the only other show that I’ve seen him in it, but I don’t remember much. Maybe it’s time to re-watch, just for Lee Yi-kyung 🙂
Bah, I\’m frustrated that I can\’t blame noble idiocies for my source of frustration with Hwayugi because they seem inevitable in those circumstances. *thumps table into halves and storms off to watch Master in the House for a change of mood*
#HwayugiEp14
This has been said over and over again, but I\’ll say it once more: Lee Se-young is so awesome in her character as Bu-ja/Asanyeo! Especially when she uses Bu-ja\’s tone and mannerisms, I can still feel Asanyeo’s evil presence; it’s confusing yet so convincing~
Yup! I was mainly in this for Lee Seung-gi and Cha Seung-won. And now, Lee Se-young is the cherry on top of my Hwayugi cake. Lee El is pretty good in her character portrayal too 😀
Three’s a company, so here’s my 3rd consecutive post on Lee Seung-gi about his upcoming movie, “The Princess and the Matchmaker”.
I know he’s the lead in this movie, but Shim Eun-kyung, Yeon Woo-jin, Choi Woo-sik too? Also starring CNBlue’s Minhyuk whom I mistook for Kim Min-gyu at first, haha.
Plus, I love that they took reference from Soyu and Junggigo’s 썸(Some) lyrics for the introduction of the matchmaking candidates 😀 Dang I really wanna watch this soon!
Weekend is the best, not because it\’s weekend; but because one gets to see Lee Seung-gi, not just once or twice but, THRICE on the screen. Two episodes of Hwayugi and one of Master in the House 😀
Non-drama day today, so I watched the 2nd instalment of TV variety Childish Bromance; grooved to new songs (SVT \”Thanks\”, Dynamic Duo\’s \”Bongjeseon\”, Penomeco\’s \”L.I.E\”) and discovered 8D audio magic. I am feeling so much feels right now.
Yeah, high five and a dab! I don’t remember how I came across it, but I was surprised by his singing vocals. I only knew Penomeco through SMTM6 and then Fanxy Child (because of Zico and Dean) 😀 And two songs of his released through SM Station, SM of all companies! (It’s not a bad thing though, haha.)
Oh Waikiki, you’re so full of slapstick and cliché on top of all the childish antics that sometimes the 2nd (3rd?) hand embarrassment is real, BUT in a good way, so pls don’t ever run out of steam, k?
Okay, the Waikiki 3 + 1 deserves to be in the Hall of Extra. Go Won-hee was also excellently extra in Strongest Deliveryman (and ofc, Kim Sun-ho). Oh, and Si-won too! Who else should be in the list?
Watching the Waikiki boys makes me wonder if there is already a ‘Hall(yu) of Extra’ dedicated to actors who are great at being extra? Cos Lee Yi-kyung certainly deserves some ❤️❤️❤️
Ok, so at this point, I think Woohoo Waikiki is a pandemonium feat. parenting mishaps while channeling The Three Stooges most of the times, affirming that I\’m still with this show only for the cast 😀
The show is hilarious. I don’t think it will have a main storyline, it is more like a sitcom but everything in today’s episode was leading to the formation of a coherent story. The actors however, are great. None of them disappoints.
Yup! I signed up for Waikiki just for the actors and the comedy, so the show has done its duty. It’s a plus if the trajectory of the characters’ stories are delivered well. But yes, I trust in the cast 😀 As they say, 믿고 보는 배우들.
I doubt I can keep a straight face at the filming set of Woohoo Waikiki because of these manchildren bickering over a baby and everything else in life 😂😂 Come, production crew, I clap for you 👏👏
Wow, ICSYV S5 really started off with a bang! Contestants are impressive in their own ways and they did pretty well, haha. So what, if there were some misses? It’s okay boys, you’re still 최고!
