      Honestly would give complete high respect to writers who still stick to their plot, elaborated it well, characterised it well even though they are well aware of the reception of the drama yet doesn’t change a bit just to suit the demands of viewers.

        Yeahp. I’m pretty much always in this camp. I think it’s more important to tell a good story, than tell the story your audience wants you to tell. That’s not always a popular opinion though because they often teach “audience awareness” in writing, saying that who your audience is is important, but many shows or writers of books, care about what will sell over what they want to tell.
        I say hang the audience. Just write a good story. If all the bits like you mentioned are done well you’ll get people who will read it whether they “like” or “agree” with it or not.
