Both of these shows are not giving me good vibes with respect to how they will end. I feel like there are some glimmers of hope in Nokdu – the set-up isn’t as damning as Extra-ordinary You – but it doesn’t look good at the moment. Plus, historically, Neungyang succeeded in deposing Gwanghae and became King Injo.
They lured us in with their fluffy premises of cross-dressing men and DanOh’s back search haha!
It’ll be interesting to see if Neungyang’s deposition results in a positive – might be an ironic way to help build bridges between Nokdu and the King but also places him and Dong Joo in deep ‘He has all the power, get out while you can’ trouble. Are you allowed to resign from a palace position or does a revolt automatically mean you’re fired?
