After all the angst of the previous episodes, eps 17 & 18 of My Husband Oh Jak Doo have given me life. It was so moving to hear Jak Doo confess and have Seung Joo confess in turn that, they in fact cannot live without each other. And that they have been miserable without each other. Now make up for lost time you two!
P.S – Kim Kang Woo’s voice rough and quivering with emotion, I DIE.
I’m getting into I’m Not A Robot a little late, but aside from that, how beautiful is this song! It’s so light and upbeat. And more importantly, it’s so perfect for Jia and Min Kyu!
I don\’t want to spoil myself for ep 5 of Hwayugi but at the same time, I cannot resist taking peeks at gifs/screencaps and pls, can we have subs already? ;____;
Watched the first 2 episodes of Hwayugi and I\’m hooked. I\’m really enjoying the fantasy aspects of the storyline in particular. Here\’s to hoping this drama sustains my interest till the end!
2 things I realized from voting in the Beanie Polls. 1. The no. of 2017 dramas I watched is dismal. 2. The ones I did end up watching were so under the radar, they might as well be underground.
Arang and The Magistrate – First kdrama I watched (and loved!). The first kdrama OST I lost my head over. Lee Joon Gi & Shin Min Ah, the first kdrama OTP I shipped like a crazy person. Good times. <3
Does anybody else get an error when they add a video URL and try to preview the video? I keep getting a message saying there\’s been an error processing my request. I can add images just fine however.
That seems to be the case. I was trying to add youtube videos but have been miserably failing. I’ll just post them in the text body now on. Thank you for helping! 🙂
If Young Choon & Hye Joo don\’t get a happy ending, I most certainly am going to flip a table. It is by far the healthiest and most supportive relationship on Girls Generation 1979. They deserve it!
I\’m going to feel so bereft when Live Up To Your Name ends this week. I dont want Heo Im and Yeon Kyung to leave me just as yet. I need more dates, more kisses, more heart eyes! ;____;
I think GG1979 would have done well as 10/12 episode drama. 8 episodes feels too short, since only in the 4th episode are we getting to see the hints of something sinister burbling under the surface.
Same. There’s been a lot of little moments planted and I’m wondering if 8 episodes will be enough to elaborate on them. There was supposed to be a killer of some sort running around and we haven’t even gotten to that.
Exactly. I worried about how they are going to wrap things up and don’t want them to cram everything into the last 4 episodes (thereby ruining pacing) or let plot points slip through the cracks in their haste to cover everything.
I do expect a bit of an open ending since most high school dramas have that but I at least really want to see the mom-dad-aunt mystery revealed, what’s going to happen with Hye-joo and her father, and I want to know about Joo Young-choon’s past. Of course I want to see how the love lines play out but I feel like the love lines are a means for growth and so none of the pairings may come about.
Oh yes. Those three plot points I would love to see resolved as well. And if these are resolved at the expense of the love lines, I have no problem either. The only couple I’m actively enjoying is Young Choon and Hye Joo and their current interactions are enough to keep me more than invested.
I\’m digging the OST of Girls Generation 1979. And I got especially excited when they played Bee Gees\’ How Deep Is Your Love and The Bangles\’ Eternal Flame. Two of my faves and really well used!
These two I could recognize right away. I think another one is Dust In The Wind by Kansas. If I can figure out any other songs in the upcoming episodes, I’ll post them here. 🙂
I\’m usually not a fan of saint-like characters but I cannot dislike Hae Joo. Not only is she really kind & sweet, I love that she\’s not afraid to speak up as well, be it to Ae Sook or the the teacher.
Same. She has a way of standing up for justice without being holier-than-thou. I think it’s the way that she’s so honest and earnest that makes her actions come off as heroic rather than saintly. Also, I feel like she’s honestly lonely. She has this ridiculous burden of being some kind of Seoul queen and everyone wants to be her or have her but no one truly wants to get to know her and be a genuine friend. I think that’s by she’s drawn to Jung-hee (ek, I think that’s her name). She’s the only person who hasn’t worshipped her and while Jung-hee is brash she can see the warmth underneath it all.

Have you seen a show that gives the leads so much time to talk and listen to one another? 17-18 were sooo good. *clutches heart*
