I can’t stop feeling like it would be a better show if JeaJin and HyeSun would be the leading couple. At least their realtionship is layered and quirky.
Dam is interesting enough but WooYeo is still just a piece of wood (that is nice to look at). He is so boring to watch.
In contrast when JeaJin and HyeSun enter a scene the screen lights up with energy. Also it would be a different story for a change if the show startet out with a supernatural being already reaching its goal of becoming human. Now what? Adapting to being human! It’s so fun watching HyeSun navigate her new status. That her vocabulary isn’t that good just makes for a fun quirk and ‘belivable’ misunderstandings – not the ‘we just never talk about the important stuff’ trope to magically create relationship tension.
At this point we’ve seen quite a few superhuman beings who want to become human. Some shows handled it better than others. So that story is a bit stale for me. I do love me supernatural dramas but even I grow tired of the same old tropes after a while.
