      OOOH YES! He debited as an actor before debuting as a full fledged singer hahah! He did Superstar K season 2 where he ranked 4th and then went on to do that show. His first solo song came a lil later in 2013. And first solo album now in 2021.

Also now that I am here already, lemme also scream abt how I am watching SIX live shows!?!?!?!?! Like, I haven\’t done this for more than an year now. Actually, scratch that. I feel like I haven\’t done this since 2016!!! No sign of drama slump at all! I guess the reason is a mix of good shows & Covid related joblessness!

I am watching (in order of how much I am enjoying):
1. 18 Again (LOVE LOVE LOVE)
2. Record Of Youth (started kinda awkward/artificial but is now fun)
3. Private Lives (That was an interesting start… yet to watch this week\’s eps)
4. Tale of The Nine Tailed (I like it? I dunno if I love it.)
5. Do You like Brahms (How I loved you show. But now… I am just waiting for you to get over)
6. Do Do Sol Sol… (Lee Jae Wook & Shopping King Louis feels. That\’s the only reason I am watching this for now)

    I picked up several on air dramas this week but I’m not up to date: 18 Again (ep 1), RoY (ep 2), Gumiho (ep 3). I don’t rush to watch them as soon as subs are out, I’m taking my time to watch. Tonight I might watch Alice ep 13(?).

    And….I’m waiting for Kairos. I’m quite preoccupied with the many teasers, I want all eps now 🤣 hahahaha

      Oooh how is Alice? I heard some comments on Kairos teasers saying sth along the lines of how “nothing will be like Alice again/ I dunno if I have the brain power left for time travel after Alice/ Alice has ruined me” and so on lol…

      18 Again is my fave… it’s just so good!

    Joblessness does get one in a drama hole, telling from experience 😂
    But everyone’s gushing about 18 again so much that I will have to tune in today. It’s such a bummer that no legal streaming service picked it up (I heard it’s on iqiyi though only limited to EA and SEA).

    Its the line up. 2017-19 dramas are rarely good. Even if we had the time, even the teasers are not teasing enough. I personally branching to thai drama, and fall for the ones with 1950s setting. The dresses are uber cute.

    I have 18 Again and Zombie Detective for Mon-Tuesday. Private Lives, DDSSL and Gumiho for Wed-Thurs. For Sat-Sun, I have Lies of Lies (I need to get caught up) and More Than Friends.
    So many dramas, so little time 😆

        The great escape is a K-variety show about escape game with Kang HoDong, Kim JongMin and other celebrities. I tried a few eps but it didn’t work that well with me.
        I’ve started the S2 of the Chinese version (’cause S1 isn’t subbed ^^’) , I knew some of the cast from previous drama, I’m enjoying that version a lot more ^^.

        Oh good to know, thanks ^^, I’ll check out his songs 🙂 , will look out for spoilers x)

        Will most likely not watch Kairos, Kdrama slump still there, I don’t feel attracted to them, might have watched only 4-5 Kdramas maximum this year (not the same amount for the Chinese ones ^^’). Hoping it’ll be a nice drama and you’ll enjoy the ride 🙂

    Tale of the Nine Tailed I like in all it’s campy crazy glory.
    Do You Like Brahms- ahh yes I was just telling Toki about how I stalled watching 14 so I could just binge the end and get it over with. The angst is real and almost everyone who isn’t a lead makes me MAD!
    I just started DDSSLLS last night, so will hold fire on commenting on that one.
    What is 18 Again about? I’ve seen it around but know nothing, for I am Jon Snow.

      RoY gradually got better but I can’t really say that it is a perfect show… I just still wait for every week’s eps n enjoy them while watching? But later I forget em lol.

      18 Again is a remake of the Zac Effron movie 17 Again (which I enjoyed as a simple no-brainer kinda movie) but tbh, this one has more depth than that movie ever did. It’s abt this 38 or so yr old guy who is tired of his sucky life n wants to go back to his shiny teens, and he does. So now he is the same age as his twin kids. Sounds weird in theory perhaps, but the show has fleshed out each character & there seems to be some mystery around as well (unlike 17 Again)

    Now you need to watch Start Up. RoY and Brahms disappointed me, but Start Up has me hooked. I may, like @festerfaster, dislike the second half, but so far I’m all in.

Now, Ahn Bo Hyun and Yoonie have been really pally on Insta so ICs had been joking about the real love story being that between ABH and Seungyoon, making edits to the original poster for fun. An IC even posted it on her IG story as a joke and Bo Hyun viewed it! 😅😅 ICs embarrassing Yoon in front of his colleagues LMAO!

Kang Seungyoon is a giant when with other kpop idols. But here he looks like a tiniee baby🥺

I am so happy that our giant maknae leader will actually look like the baby he is in this show! Can’t wait to watch it!

      Same! Kdrama ideal love stories seemed unrealistic many times but this is an actual real life story. It HAS happened. They had a meet-cute, they dated, they fought a little, they made up and then they are gonna get married. Like, this has all the elements of a good love story but this is REAL!

I never thought I’d say this but I’m taking advantage of this situation and holding myself the smallest wedding possible!)

            I’m feeling too much of everything these days.. especially with how emotional everyone around me has become, really! Like, I keep telling them not yet.. I’m not ready but yesterday I was re-arranging kitchen shelves, (I’m the tallest in the house and my mom uses me to bring her spice jars from upper shelves) so I was putting those jars where she can actually reach them and she found me and SHE CRIED!!!! How do I deal with this?!

I finished 365: Repeat The Year!!!! 🎉🎉

In short: I loved it a lot and this was perhaps one of the most satisfying kdrama endings!

If I were to elaborate just a little: This show wasn’t without it’s plot-holes and stupid moments, but overall this ended so well that I am willing to overlook the small inconsistencies. Funny enough, I was going to have sth completely diff to say if the last 10 mins of ep 12 hadn’t happened cuz till then ep 12 seemed like the weakest ep of the entire show, but it just did a total U turn and I ended up being REALLY satisfied with it all!

I loved that the drama had twists left till the last moment! The actors were gooooood, not just the main leads, but everyone! I also loved that it was just 12 eps long and didn’t stretch the plotline. It was a compact and smart plot!

I have loved Nam Ji Hyun since SKL and she came through on my expectations from her. Lee Joon-Hyuk, on the other hand, was a revelation. I haven’t seen him as the main lead before and don’t honestly remember him from shows I have watched (City Hunter, Are You Human?, Secret Garden) but I finally SEE him and I am gonna check out whatever project he takes up next!

Anyway, all in all, a show to remember!

    I’m happy that you enjoyed it!!! Lee Joon Hyuk was funny and amazing in A Poem A Day. Inthink he was a prosecutor in City Hunter but I don’t remember him in Secret Garden. 😅

      I’m such a big fan of LJH.
      Loved him whether he plays the good guy, the not so good guy, the bad guy. He chooses so different roles, I admire him for that. He’s amazing in Stranger, Designated Survivor, A Poem A Day, Naked Fireman, City Hunter (I was so angry with his ending), or Are you Human too?
      Yes… I’m not objective with him… not a little bit 🤷🏼‍♀️

        I never considered myself as his fans, but reading all his projects you’ve listed, I realized I’ve watched all of them. I guess he just know how to choose interesting dramas and characters to play.

    I’ve just finished this too. Such a satisfying thriller. It’s been so long since the the last time I watched one. I’m glad the production team know enough to choose shorter eps count instead of dragging all the plots to fill in the rest of the eps.
