Quick Start-Up episode 11 rant:

Why, why did they have to make In-jae drag Do-san in her argument against his dad? Like, she could\’ve ended her speech with \”I want to make the future a better place\” and dropped the mic right then and there.

Also, why is dad targeting the service provider and not his employer? Isn\’t it unreasonable to expect innovation to slow down (because it won\’t)? Isn\’t it the responsibility of the company (and society on a bigger scale) to aid the workforce to adapt with innovation? And besides, I imagine that while AI security would be great at initial detection, human intervention would still be necessary to confirm the alerts (not to mention that it would take long to implement).

Is this supposed to be an emotional moment because why am I just ticked off? Lol.

    It’s supposed to be a very important message -that innovations also have their ideal pace (the validity of such message is unknown to me), but the show failed convey such message in a realistic manner. That was why you couldn’t feel invested in it.

    That was my whole point with this scene. I mean: he’s targeting InJae and not his company, and he’s targeting her after he refused to have a meeting with her when she was going to give explanation about the app.
    This happens everyday in every big company: as certain jobs are now don by machines and not people. Big Data it’s called. You have to fight your employer, not the one providing the service.
    Just a plot device.

        Lee Hyori’s reaction to meeting him was too, too cute!! And even though his stay was him helping out and serving others, I’m still glad that he got the chance to get a few days off from his regular schedule to do something more quiet and relaxing, away from the busy-ness that comes with the city life
