Is it impossible to access the page for Healer: Episode 20, except through webarchive? I know there’s been “objectively better” shows since then but it’s sad to think that Healer was the last crack drama for me. And I can’t even access the 11,270 comment section.
I think my comment mining for Healer stopped somewhere at episode 18 as episode 19 had more than 1000 comments already. Never dreamt of digging through 11000 something comments for episode 20. If I am not mistaken, the closet record to that is My Love From The Stars with more than 3000 comments for the finale.
Ah, I meant the record for an episode with the second highest number of comments on DB, not that I went through those. I didn’t, because I didn’t care much about My Love From The Stars.
Yes, if I remember correctly there was some other drama wearing same time that was super hit in SK, so Healer didn’t get love it deserved, but internationally it was loved, though it didn’t help ratings
As I am bored and free now, I googled and seems like , not sure if it was the same time slot, but dramas that aired in the same period were: Kill me, heal me ( it was a hit, I remember), Pinocchio ( my favorite), and Punch ( I vaguely remember it was praised a lot), so no wonder Healer got a bit overshadowed. It was also the year I watched probably my first weekend drama – What happened to my family, didn’t finish, but watched more than half I think
Thanks for looking that up–helps narrow it down. Asianwiki lists the ratings for each show and it may have been Punch as it aired on the same days. Which, I understand now because Punch was quite the thriller.
As a test I just tried to access HEALER’s episode 20 recap (with my iPad on a motel wifi) and timed out. I did get access to the episode 19 recap. I hope the DB powers to be can find a way to speed up access for you to episode 20 so you can leave a comment. I came late to the comments myself. I know I am past 11,000.
However, I have noticed in general that it can be slow here trying to access posts with hundreds of comments.
20 times out for me too. I was actually around back then, commenting during the frenzy. It was insane! I just like to go back and check for new comments because I know a few people would go back. Did you ever listen to the Healer podcast that JB and GF did back then? I was working a graveyard shift so must’ve listened to it close to 10 times. DB is so slow to use now, it’s become almost too burdensome to use.
Yes, unfortunately it is indeed slow. Using DB somehow reminds me of using Nokia phone in the early 2000s. Remember how you typed a text message on such phone? 🙂 Or like reading on some first generation Kindle 🙂 Not exactly the same technically, but the feel is similar 😅 It is in contrast with the ease in using platforms such as facebook or instagram (I always laughed when they were referred to in kdramas as facenote and outstagram lol), but maybe that’s what makes DB more fun than the other platforms!? At least it is for me 🙂
I think even websites on dial-up would load faster than this, back when images would load from the top and sloooowly creep downward. 🤣 At least back then, there was some anticipation while I almost want to poke DB with a stick to check if it’s still loading. typing on those phones was a pain but good memories!
it’s pretty funny when kdramas will change one letter. I think I’ve seen Saver instead of Naver or something similar. I like the Beanies pages on here but sometimes I’m afraid to look through there in fear that I’ll step on a spoiler mine.

That is pretty awesome. How are you able to do that? How long did it take for the 3000?

Healer, I really think it was underrated because it was really really good

Very unfortunate that it didn’t do well in Korea. 🙁

Now that you mention it, I vaguely remember that but can’t recall the title. I’m glad the cast knew the rest of us loved it.
