I thought it was that the evil rich grandma forced poor girl to kidnap Chaewoon because she didn’t want a felon’s kid for a grandchild.

I think they will use the evil grandma card, too, and all will be well (it’s a weekender, after all).
I’m enjoying the drama even more than expected, but I admit I don’t like the adoptive mother. The drama shows her as an angel: she raised 3 orphans and love them, she works hard for her family, she saved samchon from the street and then “James”, she forgives everytime her sister.
But, she did a horrible thing, she let another woman believe her little girl was dead and “robbed” Chae-woon of a carefree life.
They will have to write her justification very well to make me forgive her.
