Can someone remind me how the bean-count works? I get one bean for every drama I finish in the year, right? Is it only for 2019 dramas, though? Like, the drama has to have aired this year for me to count it, right? (“Aired this year” meaning finished this year, not necessarily started…some start in the months before the new year)

    I think it depends on what the overlords say. It’s always confusing when a drama overlaps the end of the year/beginning of the year.

        Yes, like in the case of SKY CASTLE. I think it was only a few weeks into its run last year so it wasn’t included in the 2018 bean count. Which means it should count for 2019.

          If it finished in 2019 and wasn’t counted in last year’s bean count then it’s counted for sure. I only make that last bit explicit because in 2018 they included the Memories of the Alhambra despite it ending in 2019. They’ve never done that before and it shouldn’t have been.

          If we only included dramas that finished and ended in a calendar year then we’d constantly miss all the awesome experimental dramas they drop in December.

          I’m definitely counting beans for Sky Castle, Children of Nobody, and My Strange Hero because they were three exceptional dramas who each deserve many beans.

    Honestly, it’s supposeD to be only dramas that air this year that you’ve watched. But we make our own rules in Melonia and I often make my own Bean Count, according to various requirements, like how many dramas in TOTAL I watched this year.
