Am I the only one who didn’t recognize that the actor playing Deok-hee in BYT is the same actor who played Yeom Chang-hee’s (Lee Min-ki in MLN) friend? 😳 I would still be clueless had I not read about it.

    Their chemistry is so lovely??? I need to see them work together again, seriously. I said melo last time but honestly their comedic chemistry shouldn’t be wasted.

      A good romcom would be perfect. Their chemistry is off the charts, even in a questionable drama which is BYT.

        I watched all 6 episodes today and going in knowing not to take anything in it seriously, I actually had a lot of fun??? I hope the serious crime stuff doesn’t completely overtake the drama, and the humor is definitely not to everyone’s taste, but I laughed so much today my dad told me to stop because it was annoying him cjsjsjdjdk. Han Ji-min is SO cute and funny!

          Wow! I know you said you’d watch the drama eventually, but didn’t quite expect it to be immediately. It’s a pleasant surprise! I’m glad you are enjoying it. I guess going in not taking it seriously is really the key.

            I opened Netflix fully intending to watch my silly Spanish period drama as I do every day but Behind Your Touch was RIGHT THERE so I said “what the hell” and clicked it 😭

      I finally watched MMTG last night (sorry Minka, I know you posted it the other day and I didn’t watch it!!) and oh my god it was so funny. Suho just absolutely going mad with laughter at Lee Min-ki’s X-Man trauma took me me out 💀

This Behind Your Touch main cast show guesting was super fun! Glad they have this English subbed.

Lee Min-ki on his X-Man era. 🙈 Poor baby Min-ki (I mean, baby as in green 20 year old Min-ki, but the other meaning will also do haha…), all awkward and confused with variety show guestings.

Suho having a blast all throughout the interview is life. His laughs are contagious.

And Han Ji-min so cute.

It’s so nice to see the three of them to be really close and comfortable with each other.

    OMG @minkathedreamer WTF was that show! I’m going to need to process the whiplash. There’s no pattern to what’s going to happen next: hilarity, sadness or violence.

    The acting, especially the comedic timing! The OST! Lee Min-ki’s butt in those pants he was wearing during his character’s introduction!!

      Episode 1 was fine, right?! The acting and directing is pretty solid. Here’s hoping they’ll sustain or get even better.

        It’s not a true “butt drama” post without writing about, or thinking about, Lee Min-ki’s rear end, IMO. That’s even more important than a butt pun.

        I thought about the episode all through lunch. I think there are some very smart people on this show. It’s like got depth??? I’m cautiously optimistic this isn’t going to be a train wreck. I know this might sound like I didn’t like it—the problem is that I was pretty darn gripped, and I am talking myself down from getting my hopes up.

        Min-ki’s so fracking funny as the grumpy cop. I almost don’t want him to fall for her and become even one bit less grumpy. Like meme-worthy grumpy.

          I know how you feel. I also don’t want to get my hopes up too much, but I’m just beyond relieved that episode 1 was pretty decent, or good even.

          I am loving Min-ki’s facial acting so far, and Han Ji-min’s as well. Their banter in the next episode’s preview is cute.

          Seon-haaaa… I LOVED episode 1!! It had everything and the kitchen sink, but somehow it worked?? I was NOT expecting this to be the drama that made me cry this week, but the old man and his dog… and I also laughed a LOT. The SWAT team response? The 25 21 reference? All so good.

            @minkathedreamer @minka – I’m hoping it continues to do parodies of other dramas! I didn’t even watch 25 21, but it couldn’t have been any clearer what they were doing, and it made me laugh a LOT 😂 I’m wondering if the romance between the aunt and her love interest will be a bit like the over-the-top dramatic romance of the aunt and director in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho? I’m hoping so!

Okay, so if there’s a 4-episode rule for a show, I realized I have a 3-performance meter for an actor.

Me the 1st time: He/she is good. Very promising.
2nd time: He/she is really good! I like him/her already.
3rd time: Wow, he/she is a brilliant actor. I love him/her! *officially becomes a fan*

After finishing a thriller drama, now I wanted to watch something light (or comedy even). Scrolled through Netflix and saw Birthcare Center in the Comedies section. I heard good reviews about this drama but I didn’t know exactly it’s genre (it’s title gave me a heavy drama vibes). So I checked the preview clip, it was so funny I was sold! (It’s also a plus that’s it’s just an 8-episode drama.)

True enough, few minutes into episode 1 and I was already laughing out loud. This drama is so funny and witty I’m loving it sooo much! I am now on to episode 4, and I hope this show will be good til the end.

P.S. It’s just my second time watching Uhm Ji-won (after Little Women) and I am already impressed with her versatility. She is so good!

    I LOVE BIRTHCARE CENTER!

    It’s truly fantastic from start to finish, enjoy!! I watched it several months ago and couldn’t believe how criminally under appreciated it was when it aired. Maybe my fave drama I’ve watched in the past year?

    Uhm Ji-won is awesome. Spring Turns to Spring is such a silly show but I fell in love with her there. She’s an absolute hoot!!

    This show is very good. It is very funny but also makes some interesting observations. I loved how they showed the dad’s.

    I saw the trailer and knew I had to watch it but couldn’t find it without a subscription. So in the end seeing all the clips for What’s wrong with secretary Kim, Mr Queen and Birthcare centre I accepted I had to pay out for Viki and have stayed with it ever since because it continues to have great dramas and subs.

So my boyfriend and I just finished watching Forest of Secrets season 1. (I know, we’re late to the party 😅.)
Towards the end, when Hwang Si-mok smiled upon seeing Lt. Han’s very cute drawing of him smiling, my boyfriend uttered “There… he finally smiled.” Haha… his smile was so rare it’s so precious when you see one.
