Also, I really wish there were recaps of this show, rather than some of the others being done at the moment. There's so much to discuss in each episode, a hangout is no place for such intricate dissections!
I would like DB to put up the choice of recaps to a Beanie vote each season, and then the writers could choose their preference!

Yay, it's My Girlfriend Is The Man Day! I have a new theory how the gender switching works: Both mom and grandmom had kids, so they must have been female at this point in time. Grandmom switched to male after. Moms husband is still with her and clearly loves her, grandmoms husband left.
So my working theory is: the trigger to switching back to female is love, somehow - if the boyfriend/husband loves them truly, they will turn female again.
That would be a) romantic and b) fitting for a fairy tale curse - true love will save us all.

This looks trashy and extremely entertaining!!
And is it just me, or does it kinda resemble the other one with Rain that aired maybe last year... Red something? That was trashy and entertaining too. Now to wait and see if it releases in my region at all.

‘but at the same time he is such a prat’ 🤣🤣Thank you for making me have a K-drama food spray moment. That is such a British saying from a certain era. I felt like I was back in secondary school! Are you UK based or watch a lot of UK tv?

Yes, unfortunately I believe you're right. It's not so much that I was watching solely for the romance, but I did want more focus on Yeoreum's experiences and growth. The manager's backstory is indeed tragic and he is in need of healing to move on, but at the same time he is such a prat that I cringe anytime he comes on the screen.

Wait, we have reply buttons on comments now, but they still show chronologically?? 🤦‍♀️ Sigh. Stay hopeful. Stay hopeful.

That taking to the page but not the comment is happening to me now and again to me too. Hopefully you will get a notification to say I replied to you even though the comment won’t be a proper reply like before.
@nivar let’s hop the tag works this time

Thank you for tagging me! (though it didn't show up as a notification oddly) .
I'm still noticing unusual site behaviour, as in, a like on a comment doesn't still take me to the comment itself but just to the particular page 🤔 This happening only to me?

That's great!
My favorite way of navigating this site is reading the latest comments.
Now it would be perfect if the direct "button" came back again.

@mazarin

You are absolutely right. I had forgotten he already was a little obsessed with Mu Dan before she left. Just at the same time, he had fallen out of love (or obsession?) with the princess because he saw her true colors and cruelty.

@zindigo
Today in the morning in Spain, finally Viki announced when these two dramas will be released.
They say Moonlit Reunion starts "in one day". Three episodes.
And When Destiny brings the Demon "in two days". Three episodes too.

It's about time!

Premiere Watch: My Troublesome Star

I don't know how to properly articulate my frustration with the end of episode 1/most of episode 2. It feels like the older actress is playing an even younger version of Im Se-Ra, not even the 1999 version we met.

Perhaps we didn't get enough of 1999 Im Se-Ra to properly gauge her reactions to certain situations, but 2025 version feels like she's regressed to a teenager, rather than a cool, mature 25 year old who throws orange juice at a guy for treating her friend badly and knows her worth to walk out of a creepy "pour him a drink" situation.

I'm going to stick with this for a few more episodes, because I love dramas where the leads are above 40, but I hope 2025 Im Se-Ra starts acting her "age" (either 50 or 25, either is good.)

I regretted being too much of a grouch in my last comment. But I don't like unpleasant surprises, and there have been too much of them for me this year! As I grow older, I realise I can't always be nice about such changes. Sometimes, I WILL complain. I wish I had been a little wiser in choosing what I said, but I miss the times of better communication.

Good luck to the community here, and sorry for my grouchiness. Let me be grouchy away from DB for a while, as there are no dramas for me to squee for, or rant about currently. Maybe I am living too much in nostalgia to enjoy changes these days, LOL.

You can list them here there are quite a few beanies who only watch c-drama or do a mix of J,C and K-dramas and this is the place to mention them as we can all select the ones we want to add to our watch list. This is how I find out about hidden gems.

There are a few of us watching it but struggling with the mother daughter relationship and their constant conflict. I didn’t connect with the characters initially so it’s been touch and go whether I would stick with it. This weeks episodes have finally won me over and I have decided I will continue for now.
