Even if I think Kang Dong-won and Jung Ji-hyun are a little bit overrated, I'm pretty happy with this casting.

My squee this week is the anticipated Aema which will release in two days time. So I'm very excited to see the entire cast including Honey Lee and of course, there will be a lot of happenings during the 1980s including that decade's Korean film industry and even all of the hilarious scenes that I loved. I'm also expected to see all of the sexiest and hottest scene tropes in this Kdrama and even I am look forward for the early 1980s pop songs whether local or foreign.

Also, I really wish there were recaps of this show, rather than some of the others being done at the moment. There's so much to discuss in each episode, a hangout is no place for such intricate dissections!
I would like DB to put up the choice of recaps to a Beanie vote each season, and then the writers could choose their preference!

Yay, it's My Girlfriend Is The Man Day! I have a new theory how the gender switching works: Both mom and grandmom had kids, so they must have been female at this point in time. Grandmom switched to male after. Moms husband is still with her and clearly loves her, grandmoms husband left.
So my working theory is: the trigger to switching back to female is love, somehow - if the boyfriend/husband loves them truly, they will turn female again.
That would be a) romantic and b) fitting for a fairy tale curse - true love will save us all.

Yes, unfortunately I believe you're right. It's not so much that I was watching solely for the romance, but I did want more focus on Yeoreum's experiences and growth. The manager's backstory is indeed tragic and he is in need of healing to move on, but at the same time he is such a prat that I cringe anytime he comes on the screen.

You are absolutely right. I had forgotten he already was a little obsessed with Mu Dan before she left. Just at the same time, he had fallen out of love (or obsession?) with the princess because he saw her true colors and cruelty.
