It 100% is! I don’t know why they couldn’t have dropped a couple of these at the end of July or something, when there wasn’t as much going on. And of course it premieres on a Friday. I’m going to have to figure out what order the Beankeepers are going to drop the weecaps so that I can watch all the weekend shows in that order and (maybe) keep up!

The thread that I have always wanted! I can even suggest the actor/actresses I want to play the roles :>. I adore some of Georgette Heyer's works. The Quiet Gentleman has one of my favourite heroines. One can almost write her off as the 2FL but she is capable, humorous and eminently suited to our eponymous Quiet Gentleman. He looks like he is a pushover, but it isn't very long when everybody realises his steely personality cloaked in velvet gloves. The story has enough mystery to interest the thrill seekers. i love it that its the girl who goes to save the hero rather than the ML going to the distressed FL. The other book I would made into a drama ( a mini series?), is Brat Farrar by Josephine Tey. Another movie with incredible characters with layers of mystery.

If he was, people would line up to get taken 😂 I love reading the comments on Youtube on Your Idol (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FS3JAPTKXs&list=RD2FS3JAPTKXs&start_radio=1) - basically everyone agrees that we'd be toast if the Saja Boys were real. My heart? There you go! Now you want my soul? It's yours already!

Mort would be an excellent kdrama, Seo In-guk would be great (and also already kind of used to the role).

I think it was always about her what she thought, what she wants, etc. (the baby, the divorce) and for once he could say what he wanted and then leave.

Boy ain't that the truth @joanna. I was always amazed by the petty meanness some coworkers displayed in the workplace. Takes energy to be that way. I never put my energy there.

Yes, every time his ex spoke she sounded like she had no shame constantly stabbing him in the heart. He is better off without her. However, I find it annoying when people call someone out say what they want to say then walk off without giving them a chance to respond. If you are only interested in a one way conversation why not send an email! It saves both of you traipsing out. She is pregnant and I am sure could do without the hassle factor.

I hope he finds a new signature scent that works for him.

I visited Korea many years ago, we started in Busan, so I still have fond memories about the city and the park above. I also liked Kjongju with tumuli, Jirisan park... and we climbed up Hallasan on Jeju, we were lucky as for the weather there, frosty but sunny. And then of course walking through Seoul, the palaces, river Han, Namsan... Aaah, I want to go baaack!!
I hope you had fabulous time!

Bon Appetit is looking great - it got me at butter gochujang bibimbap (the dish I mean) I was salivating and suddenly wanted to eat bibimbap lol

Though I must say I got a bit confused cos the said tyrant definitely sounded like Yeongsangun in his historical atrocities but was given the name Lee Yi Heon in the drama

Totally! Doom was a very charismatic character, and well played by Seo In Guk, but the drama was very repetitive and the secondary characters not really interesting.

Episode 5
Oh my did Eunho get on my nerves with her angry outburst. I was firmly on Jihyuk side here, he is totally not responsible for her fantasy. And no, his reasons definitely were not the ones Eunho listed but exactly this immature behaviour.

In contrast, I was glad Jihyuk was defending Boa and mentioned also her kindness and how a good friend she is... and I'm convinced that also Boa valued Jihyuk, knew him well... and that their marriage actually would work and become a happy one with the years passing. It is a shame that something unexpected apparently happened and we will not witness this good friends to lovers story. Le Sigh.

Episode 6
What a bad timing with the message to Boa... and her unresolved feelings leading to her unfortunate decision, unfortunate currently mainly for Jihyuk... and it was painful to see him spiral into despair. It was also painful to see that his best friend was still not getting him (they really fit more together, he and Eunho, living in their own worlds/fantasies... though... Eunho seems to (maybe?) be finally reevaluating some things?).

Jihyuk, despite his tough exterior, needs some hugs now and I'm glad Mom sent that message.

The character of Doom (in 'Doom at your service) reminded me of Death. Especially the big empty house, and then getting a human to come live with him in it. (The story itself was nothing like of course. But it has been my often repeated belief that Doom in DAYS was a great character in search of a good -or at least not horrible- story)

Episodes 7 and 8

The couple didn't have the chance to meet Mary from Mary Kills People and had to go in Switzerland to get assisted suicide. (is it a new way to call tourist in Switzerland?) The whole story was really sad. I wonder if the brother will touch the money, they didn't talk about it.

The medicament that changes the whole personality was quite a weird plot. I'm happy she could give it back what he did to her during years but could they give her another one?

Ko Tae-Seop and Hong Do-Yun have no shame. Ko schemes everytime and then he's not ready to accept the consequences. Hong is just a misogynist and I'm happy he's out.

Seok-Hoon finally gets his ex out of his life. It's a good thing he could turn the page definitely.

My Lovely Journey: Episodes 7-8

by Dramaddictally

@dramaddictally thanks for the recap.

I have enjoyed the slow pace and lovely scenery we have witnessed over the weeks. It has been the gentle watch I was hoping for.

Every week though, I have been left wondering about the levels of noble idiocy we have been subjected to. The Japan storyline was the hardest one for me to understand. I am confused as to why the woman left his place looking like he had been burgled without any explanation despite loving him so much. How hard is it to leave a note apologising for deciding how to spend someone else’s money. Knowing how desperately he had worked for that money and how he was prepared to give up on his dream of Europe for her home town it was the least she could do. I don’t understand why he was prepared to forgive her so easily with no explanation. At least if he had said that because it was so out of character that he believed there was a valid reason but she must have been too ashamed to ask and he felt bad because he would have given it to her. It would give some context to him holding out still wanting to go on the trip despite how things ended.

I like that we have multiple love stories although I am less interested in the CEO and accountant. What is with this trend of the main leads last minute get together just before credits roll?

I feel sorry for the actress playing the accountant as she pulled the short straw for the female who must show off their legs consistently. It has been noticeable how many outfits she has been in that have been ridiculously short.

Does anyone know why they were making that dance video? Was it supposed to be marketing for their travel company? It felt a bit random as who would care about anyone but the female lead who is the only famous one in the video and the one who will be on camera?

I do like the end credits use of the cast singing the OST.

My favorite Discworld book is "Mort". Probably the most romantic too. I wonder if it could work as a k-drama... 🤔 Would Death be a "Saja Boy"? 😅
