i love your blog because you actually analyze the drama overall. In terms of the plot, I agree with you completely. I think the producers are too ambitious by having too many actors/actresses in this drama. I really didn't get how the part with Marie (it's Marie, right?) threatening Mu-Ryong contributed to the overall story. I want Mu-Ryong and Yoohee to end up together, but the episodes are close to the middle of the series already and it seems like Mu-Ryong has no real affection for Yoohee (yet). Although there are parts where he cares for her a lot, it just seems like he's obeying the contract more than actually liking her. Plus, I don't think he's jealous over Johnny pursuing Yoohee. Sigh..when will things actually start shaping up? I am worried about how the story will unfold. It seems like there will be a lot of sudden plot twists in the future episodes to mend the story.

I saw the ratings & I really think this drama is going good with a double number rating. I love the contrast of the old tradition & the new trend of South Korea. The sacrifices of a young lady to keep her clan's 300 year estate & the people who live in it. I love this story so much I cannot wait to buy the DVD when it comes out. 5 episodes already have English subtitles. Thanks for the people responsible.

WHAAAAT??how can it be? the devil/mawang is the best kdrama i've seen so far, and me being the kdrama fanatic i am (i finished all twenty-something episodes of goong in 4 days and My Girl in 3....xD yes i know...thats kinda sad lol) i think the devil deserves super awesome ratings!!!!!hmph!

Ratings are just numbers people use to make profits...but that has nothing to do with the quality of a drama to a certain extent in my opinion. It is disheartening to know that an exceptional piece of television art isn't doing well...but to me it is all because people don't want to open their minds and hearts to new concepts and idea. They want the same old story and then they complain when they get it instead of looking for new and fresh productions. I like my rom-coms just like the next person but QSS for one thing holds a deeper feel cause it is done so tastefully. Mawang is amazing because it is thought provoking and is like watching LAW and Order of CSI. I don't use ratings to decide on what to watch. Like with movies critics think they know everything but they are so narrow-minded in their thinking...don't even get me started. Thanks JB for the article!!
