Same with me. Last week I thought she was conniving and actually using the ex-relationship between WJ and HY for her (and his) advantage at work. But then this week I felt really bad for her.

2. I need this to make up for whatever the heck Hierarchy was, which was not the actor's fault.

3. Can't wait for this spin-off. Hopefully it's as fun and good as No Gain No Love has been.

I do not intentionnaly watch melodrama, so having an annonced romcom changing genre does not sit well with me. And the wound is still fresh and has not yet healed. So I'll go with the seemingly unpopular choice of the chiffhanger ending.
Also, if the drama is a new favorite it means that its story is good. I'll take a good story, even unfinished, over a bad gestion of the rollercoater of emotions that characterize kdramas.

and two versions being cut as well.

some kind folks screen-shot the differences and shared with commentary -- basically the domestic telecast seems to be the sanitized version; the other one has all the sexual double entendres and witty wordplay from day one

Yes and all of them were insults, not defamations. (basically the "Yo Mama is ugly!" type of trash talkin')

That was the exact observation the police officer shared with Ja-Yeon at station too. UNTIL the post on Chapter 51 - which qualifies for defamation and was the sole reason she wanted to sue. She was breezy with trolls all along and this wasn't her first rodeo

Secretary Jang: I love how deadpan his delivery is lol.

My bet: as per my list of plot predictions last week - the last option is he is actually double agent to CEO and Wife.

Remember that bit about his dead father's will? There are 2 sections: (1) 1st part stipulating absolute loyalty to the late Chairman Bok & the current one; (2) 2nd part is absolute loyalty to the Wife (he has to leap out of his grave to do her bidding).

So she must have called in a favor on that clause ("I don't need you to leap out of the grave, just turn your face a little.")

Then cut to: Secretary Jang going to "warn" Ji-Uk.

The sus part? He ended his utterly sincere advice with - "NO ONE has sent me here." 🤣🤣🤣

THEN cut to: Bok Gyhun dashing in for chaebol reveal (the timing seems to suggest both sides -- whether Chairman or Wife -- are making their moves and the messenger has been dispatched.

I would like the trope upended with Bok Gyhun being utterly blown away by the fact that he finally has a Hyung he is smitten with!

I was curious about that also. I was wondering if the chairman's wife had sent him - maybe a conversation they had but not shown. And, I missed the part about him getting fired? Wondering, again, about the translation on this part.

Ahhh! the subtitles, or lack thereof, is so frustrating to me! I'm watching Amazon Prime in the US, and I saw the diarrhea/poop version. I often feel that the translations do not convey the true meaning and so much seems to be lost, especially the humor. And, I wonder about all of the screen graphics/words....so much is missed in not being able to read that. VIKI seems to do a much better job with subtitles.
But, I am really loving this show, and hope I am not missing too much of the subtleties. I plan to rewatch while waiting for episode 9 and will explore the dubbed version (even tho I dislike the voices) just to see the difference.

It is. 😂 And I particularly HATE when someone ruins something I like, so, tbh, I prefer cliffhangers over a bad sequel.

So, a romcom I liked turning into a melo out of nowhere is worse for me because (a) it ruins something I liked, and (2) I would have to keep watching—hoping it gets better—and be in pain the whole time (because they never get better).
There's nothing to go back to after the show is over. And I would not feel happy if ten years later someone decides to make a sequel about it. It would become just a bad memory.
