I think Gyu Hyun wrote on 50 chapters and he had Ha Jun take on from 51 onwards. Probably because he made himself sick writing the first 50 comments.

I don't think Ha Jun saw it anywhere or was inspired by something. He was just being mean. It doesn't take much thought to make a mean spirited or hurtful comment. He just happened to write something triggering.

They're both vile, but I choose cliffhanger, partly because I don't like melo, but also because I know the bastards are planning a sequel even if they haven't announced it yet.

My normal dislike of sequels comes from the many, many lame shows that get one they didn't deserve, but "new favorite drama" kills that possibility and leaves me hoping for the big announcement. The only risk is that I was the only one who liked it and the low ratings killed the rest of the project.

He said he's done "other things" before (when they were at the hotel) so I assumed it wasn't his first kiss but I suppose it could've been.

Oh, is that what the point was? It makes sense when you spell it out like that. I just didn't get it because she pecked him (1), he kissed her and she pushed him away (2), and then he kissed her again but she seemed to respond to it so it seems more mutual/consenting (3).

If and when a rom-com turns (unexpectedly...or is it as always??) turns distastefully melo, I just start skimming like it's a weekender. A little melo is even juuust fine.

But when there's a cliffhanger that will not ever be resolved, I turn into The Hulk.

I think the two Bok-Brothers are going to join forces against all the crazy-ass parents, create a band, go on tour together in a special BMW M series van with gold trim, all while wearing cashmere coats with sunglasses -their signature look. Maybe even stop for some fried chicken and toast.

Even though I wasn't a fan of the kiss, I did enjoy how it brought back out their pettiness. Her "you can enjoy it like you'll enjoy Son Hae Young" & "don't you want to workout with Son Hae Young?" and his "have we made up? Then good luck" yet he was trying to make up with her haha

Ahh, I like the pettiness and bickering but once they're dating and/or in love, I guess that's not as appealing.

I agree. I put SITR in that category; there was enough resolution and information to come to your own conclusion if you wanted to imagine the story going forward.

I think that's where they're gonna go with the Ha-jun storyline. I had second thoughts about the twist, because writers have a tendency to make other characters look bad as an easy way to solve problems or bring characters together. Here though, I think it's just going to be more insight on how complex people can be, which can also double as inspiration for Ja-yeon's writing.
