This sounds like it could be a fun mix of different genres. Hopefully it's good.

Not happy about yet another September drama, but at least it's on Monday/ Tuesday.

How fun! You hit the jackpot and got some fun things and yes, it is fun counting how much is saved on things! I get that!

Hope its good. It's been a disappointing year for me with all the ones looking good and diving into dumb city territory as well as unavailability snatching away some of the really good ones. Its getting hard to be excited for anything anymore. Its getting my Kdrama genes down in the dumps. (with all the bad dramas swirling around me).

Wow. This sounds nothing like it is hyped up to be by the beanie comments. I was feeling vexed at not being able to see it even though its one of the shows I started a Disney+ subscription for. Maybe I won't be missing it so much? It sounded so good too.

As someone who watched film "The Night Owl" (which was written by the screenwriter of this drama) and The Kidnapping Day (which was the director's previous work), I think we're in good hands. And, the first trailer just came out and the tone is exactly what I was hoping for.

Also, I personally like the cast~! Both the leads (JYB and Jinyoung) and the supporting actors. I think it'll be fun watching their dynamics with one another~

Then it appears that LYNX has been highly successful in placing it PPL.

Welh, I think that you have actually nailed our ML's view of love and marriage. This is indeed what he has been saying and the way you put it very clearly lays out his viewpoint.

Welh, Su Jeong may have had a bit of a crush on Seoung-jae but in the most recent episode she is gleefully headed out on a blind date with someone else who is not Seoung-jae. She is clearly not waiting for Seoung-jae the way our FL waited for our ML.

You have a reasonable hypothesis, but it seems like the writer is going a different direction.

Was this a love triangle in real life, too? If so, I wonder if this drama will address it?

PupMomAnnie, Seongjae's father would not be pleased with either sibling but the difference between the two siblings is that he has to agree to Su-bin: That was the downside to his ultimatum to his son. He does not have to agree to Ji-won.

Finale week! I agree with your worries and will add the kdrama-fan's short prayer:
Please don't fuck up the ending!

Thanks for sharing your insights, Beanies and reviewer. This drama was wonderfully done, a gem definitely worth the watch.

One of my favorite things was a well-written conclusion with an ending that felt open.
Sometimes the dialogue felt like reading a book on living&dying to me. That "Chicken Soup for the Soul" preachiness and the obscene amount of commercial breaks inserted by Hulu most likely kept me from an "cry ugly." Each emotional moment was perfect, like a Hallmark commerial. YES to heartfelt & toucing and no to heartwrenching & heartache.
Yes, I loved this drama and the story it presented.

Hulu inserted a horrendus amout of commercials. It really interrupted the flow of emotions and maybe this part of the reason for lack of tears.

How did the showrunners manage to take a show with such great promise and shove it down the drain like this? What were they thinking, honestly?
How do people even write such stories and get them greenlit?
How do directors think that making the actors so certain things would be funny, or touching? How do they take a cast of really good actors and make them so cringe?
Why am I still watching this drama?

Memory lane. I have seen one Oscar statuette in my life.
On display at the Anne Frank House museum in Amsterdam, the Academy Award won by Shelley Winters for Best Supporting Actress in the 1959 film “THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK”.

Us viewers: Jang Dong-yoon’s upcoming F/S SBS crime drama QUEEN MANTIS (8 episodes) is now on Viki US’s “Coming Soon” list. Episode one airs on Sep. 5. QM will also be available on Netflix US.

That news is squeeable I think lol. Unusual I think to have a currently airing drama to be available simultaneously on both Viki and Netflix. I hope that continues in the future. Netflix has an agreement to air SBS dramas so I am definitely pleased about that.

For good "animal" representation, refer to Korean Odyssey.. especially dog and pig!

You could have a lot of fun casting Desdemona. Lots of cameos for all the past lives of course, but then a good strong actress for the main part. Honey Lee would be good- of course, she is always good, but also a nice mix of older, sexy, and also prudish because she doesn't do kiss scenes- a complicated personality vibe.
