Shin Hyun-bin made her acting debut in the 2010 black comedy film He’s on Duty, where she portrayed a Vietnamese migrant worker in South Korea. It won her Best New Actress at the 47th Baeksang Arts Awards. In 2011, she became part of the main cast of the SBS sageuk Warrior Baek Dong-soo, which earned her the New Star Award at the SBS Drama Awards. In 2018, she starred in OCN’s Mistresses, which was based on the U.K. series of the same name. In 2019, she joined the tvN legal drama Confession, which gave her a Best New Actress nomination at the 12th Korea Drama Awards. In 2020, she played one of the doctors in the hit tvN series Hospital Playlist. In 2021, she was nominated for Best New Actress at the 41st Blue Dragon Film Awards for her work in director Kim Yong-hoon’s crime thriller Beasts Clawing at Straws.
