Ryu Kyung-soo landed his first television acting gig in the 2012 JTBC drama Happy Ending. He then made appearances in several films such as 2017’s Midnight Runners and 2018’s The Vanished. In 2019, he became part of the tvN legal drama Confession. His career breakthrough came in 2020 when he played an ex-gangster in the hit JTBC series Itaewon Class. That same year, he starred in KakaoTV’s original drama series Lovestruck in the City. In 2021, he acted alongside Hwang Jung-min in the reality action-thriller film Hostage: Missing Celebrity, which earned him a Best New Actor nomination at the 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards. Also in 2021, he joined the Netflix horror fantasy Hellbound.
