Namgoong Min made his acting debut in the 2001 film Bungee Jumping of Their Own and has since starred in numerous TV series and movies. In 2015, he received a Special Acting Award at the SBS Drama Awards for his portrayal of a serial killer in Girl Who Sees Smells. In late 2015, he appeared in the SBS series Remember—Son’s War, which earned him an Excellence Award at the 5th APAN Star Awards. In 2016, he starred in the SBS romantic comedy Beautiful Gong Shim, which scored him a Top Excellence Award at the SBS Drama Awards. In 2017, he took home numerous accolades for his breakout performance in the hit KBS2 workplace comedy drama Chief Kim. Also in 2017, he bagged a Top Excellence Award at the SBS Drama Awards for his work in the legal thriller Falsify. In 2020, he headlined SBS’s Stove League, which was hailed Best Drama at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards. He was also awarded the Daesang at the SBS Drama Awards for his performance in the series.

Namgoong Min married model and actress Jin Ah-reum in October 2022. They met in 2015 on the set of the short film Light My Fire, which also served as the actor’s directorial debut.
