In 2015, she starred in the SBS daily drama Return of Hwang Geum-bok, which won her the New Star Award at the SBS Drama Awards. In 2017, she played Park Seo-joon’s ex-girlfriend in the KBS2 series Fight My Way. In 2018, she appeared in the hit SBS drama An Empress’s Dignity, in which she was nominated for an Excellence Award at the SBS Drama Awards. In 2019, she acted alongside Lee Jung-jae and Shin Mina in the first and second seasons of the JTBC series Chief of Staff. In 2020, she portrayed a passionate veteran reporter in JTBC’s The Good Detective. Her work in the said JTBC dramas earned her a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the 7th APAN Star Awards.
Born in a Protestant family, Lee Elijah was named after the prophet Elijah in the Old Testament. She majored in acting at the Seoul Institute of the Arts.
