Kwon Yul made his small screen debut as one of the main characters in the 2007 SBS high school series Mackerel Run. In 2014, he starred in the KBS2 daily drama Angel’s Revenge along with Yoon So-yi, Park Jung-chul, and Moon Bo-ryung. That same year, he became part of the box-office hit epic war film The Admiral: Roaring Currents, which recorded over 17.6 million theater admissions and a worldwide gross of more than $138 million. In 2015, he appeared in the second installment of tvN’s popular Let’s Eat franchise. In 2016, he was nominated for an Excellence Award at the MBC Drama Awards for his work in One More Happy Ending. In 2017, he acted alongside Lee Bo-young and Lee Sang-yoon in the SBS legal thriller Whisper, which won him two acting trophies. In 2019, he scored an Excellence Award nomination at the SBS Drama Awards for his performance in the sageuk series Haechi.
