Kim Hyang-gi began her career as a model for commercials and magazines when she was still a baby. In 2006, she made her acting debut in the drama film Heart Is. In 2007, she appeared in the SBS series Bad Couple, which earned her a Best Young Actress nomination at the SBS Drama Awards. In 2013, she joined MBC’s Queen’s Classroom, which won her Best Young Actress at that year’s APAN Star Awards and MBC Drama Awards. In 2014, she was named Best New Actress at the 50th Baeksang Arts Awards for her performance in the film Thread of Lies. In 2015, she took home another Best Young Actress citation at the KBS Drama Awards for the two-part TV special Snowy Road. In 2017, she acted alongside Ha Jung-woo, Cha Tae-hyun, and Joo Ji-hoon in the blockbuster fantasy-action film Along With the God: The Two Worlds. The movie gave her the Best Supporting Actress trophy at the 39th Blue Dragon Film Awards. In 2018, she returned for the movie’s sequel titled Along With the Gods: The Last 49 Days. In 2019, she worked with Jung Woo-sung in the drama film Innocent Witness, which scored her multiple Best Actress nominations and wins. That same year, she starred in the JTBC series A Moment at Eighteen.


Kim Hyang-gi graduated from Sung Bok High School in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. She continued her studies at Hanyang University’s theater and film department.
