Jeon Hye-jin made her acting debut in the 1998 film A Killing Story. She then became active on the theater scene, appearing in several plays such as Unification Express. In 2004, she landed a supporting role in KBS2’s I’m Sorry, I Love You. In 2013, she acted alongside Ha Jung-woo in the action-thriller film The Terror Live, which earned her a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the 22nd Buil Film Awards. In 2015, she appeared in director Lee Jun-ik’s historical drama film The Throne, which won her multiple Best Supporting Actress trophies including one from the 36th Blue Dragon Film Awards. In 2017, she starred in the crime-action film The Merciless, which gave her another Best Supporting Actress citation at the 37th Korean Association of Film Critics Awards. In 2018, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for TV at the 54th Baeksang Arts Awards for JTBC’s Misty.


Jeon Hye-jin majored in film at Sangmyung University. She married Lee Seon-kyun in May 2009 after dating for seven years. They have two sons together.
