Hong Ye-ji joined Mnet’s reality competition show Produce 48 in June 2018 but was eliminated on its fifth episode. In 2021, she was cast as lead in director Mo Hong-jin’s human drama film 2037, which had a working title of Girl. In the said movie, she played a 19-year-old girl who is sent to jail for murder. It was released in June 2022, marking her official debut as an actress. That same year, she starred in the TVING short film School Caste. In 2023, she appeared in another drama film titled A Normal Family. In 2024, she made her small screen acting debut in the KBS2 fusion sageuk Love Song for Illusion.
Hong Ye-ji graduated from the School of Performing Arts Seoul. She then entered Dongguk University’s theater and film department.
