Hong Ji-yoon made her acting debut with a supporting role in tvN’s Criminal Minds, which was based on the American TV series of the same name. That same year, she became part of OCN’s Bad Guys: City of Evil. In 2018, she made special appearances in the SBS legal thriller Return and in the tvN romantic comedy What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim. She then landed her first big screen acting gig in the 2018 period action film Monstrum. In 2019, she joined the Netflix coming-of-age campus drama My First First Love. She next appeared in SBS’s My Absolute Boyfriend and JTBC’s My Country: The New Age. In 2021, she was cast as one of the key characters in the Korean remake of the American TV series Jane the Virgin titled Woori the Virgin.
