It’s good—-I would somehow get my parents to watch it with me if I were you. Are they political at all? Care about the mounting distrust of N. Korea to the US? I’d make something up. Lol.
Episode 7 pulls you in from the first scene. My husband skipped watching the last could episodes with me, but started ep 7 with me and was like “whoa! What happened?” Jang Hyuk on a motorcycle firing an automatic rifle at a tank is the first thing on screen. I had to explain it all super quick!

I was going to suggest a 1 hour 18 minute long bathroom break but your idea seems more sane.

They hear the word “subtitles” and their faces go blank, so no dice. Though my mom would defo enjoy the romance part.

Turn on the first scene and tell me if they’re not hooked pin Ep 7. It’s definitely the hook episode.
