Report: Started Joseon Flower Agency (or whatever it’s called. I cannot keep that show’s name straight in my head for whatever reason). It has all the right elements–great cast, fun chemistry, all the tropes all the time, costuming and set design on point–but it’s falling short in a way I can only attribute to poor direction. I’m enjoying it, but I’m also ffwding a lot. The direction is just off in so many ways. Slow scenes that should be fast. Fast scenes that could be drawn out. Anyway I think I’m going to save it up, binge when I have lots of episodes and can ffwd as much as I need to. It’s a pity–this cast is SUPER. I’m looking forward to seeing all these guys in more shows in the future! (Sidebar: does anyone else feel like we’re watching Joo Won, Kim Soo-hyun, and Lee Hong-ki’s little brothers, though?)
