    Which what? So many moving parts…

    Crown Prince and Historian Song – what a pair!

      im mostly talking about Hae-ryung and Rim and her (non?)noble-idiocy rejection. I don’t understand why she’s rejecting him now…it seems like she’s been leading him on, in a way, if she always knew she didn’t like him enough to give everything up for him (i am NOT judging her for that…she should get to choose the life she wants, seriously. i commend this show for making that an option…but i don’t understand the timing, and i don’t understand really if she knows what she wants.) On @larelle79‘s wall someone says maybe she will realize what she really wants when its taken from her (based on previews for new episodes.) Maybe that’s what’s going on?

      That being said, the crown prince and sa-hui is SUPER fascinating, for sure. I cannot wait to see what happens there. (Pro-tip to Councillor Min, though…why not just have Sa-hui marry JIN? get yourself a lot more power that way, and she’s less likely to fight against that. As a feminist, I reject that solution, but as a manipulative court official, I’m telling you, it’s the way to go.)

        Chancellor Min’s wants a heir to continue to royal blood line. I don’t think the Crown Princess brought that up on her own.

          Chancellor Min’s first bet was his own daughter as Crown Princess, and Historian Song is his second bet, at taking over the royal family. He only has lust for power in mind; people are just game pieces to be used for his ends.

            But is divorce even an option. The only way another marriage can happen for the Crown Prince would be if his wife dies, right?

            Would Min go that far? Well, that man did say he did not have many friends because of his all around demeanor so he very well could.

            @larelle79
            I meant aiming Historian Song at Rim… Either way, he gets his fingers into the royal family.

            I thought how the Crown Prince chose to try and block Historian Song’s candidacy was interesting, because it potentially make *any* future marriage for her difficult for those times. That discussion must have been something else. What a way to give her the freedom to choose!

        As I noted else where, GHR already told the prince that she did not want marriage and the inevitable cancellation of all her other hopes and dreams for herself. The prince was just not hearing GHR. This theme is replicated in Historian Song’s reaction on being put on the candidate brides list. She also sees marriage, especially to a prince, to be the end of her self.

        It will be really interesting to see what *choices* these two women end up making in the end; I hope they both find happiness…but however their stories go, I hope that their choices are seen to matter, that they don’t end up being carried along by the maneuvers of the powerful.

        Spoilers ahead⚠️️
        When prince Yi Rim said he has no regrets because he tried his best in ep 33 the look on GHR’s face said otherwise so i guess she is also thinking about her rejection and how unfair it is to Yi Rim. She is practically in a rock and hard place.
