Kingdom Ep 2: Finally understood the reason they’re keeping the king alive. Damn.
This show is soooooo good! I’m loving it so far. Tightly written; the acting, no questions asked; the cinematography and background music – so on point. I am trying to devour this slowly and not binge it at once. I am dreading the massive cliffhanger of the last ep knowing that this is gonna be in multiple-seasons format.
I am liking Yeong-sin, I’m not sure I’ve seen the actor anywhere else. I am also glad that Joong-ki passed on this (no diss intended) ‘cos Joo Ji-hoon gives the Crown Prince’s character some grittiness/realism/gravitas that Joon-ki’s pretty-man looks may not convey as well
Agree about Ji hoon. If Joong-ki would have accepted, it would have felt….different and I don’t think he would have gelled with the rest of the cast. He would have stuck out for the wrong reason, ya know.
True. I mean I like Joong-ki… I just feel like he may not be able to act on par with such veteran casts as Bae Doo-na and Ryu Seung-ryong. Man, just their presence alone exudes charisma! I’m happy it was Ji-hoon ‘cos I consider him quite a veteran too, with all the really good movies he’s done
I am also very enthusiast about this, and I only watched two episodes. I have to say they are doing a great here. Visually it’s really beautiful and the first episode was well written because I didn’t think the pace was long like it is most of the time when you start a show. I am going to try to not binge-watch neither but that’s going to be hard to resist if they keep this up!
